A method for enhancing an expression of insulin like growth factor 1 receptor in an umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell is provided. The method includes culturing the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell expressing insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor in a medium containing platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) to enhance the expression of insulin like growth factor 1 receptor in the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for enhancing an expression of insulin like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R) in an umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell expressing IGF1R, the method comprising: deriving a plurality of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells from a Wharton's jelly; isolating the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell expressing IGF1R from the plurality of umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells by using an IGF1R antibody; and culturing the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell expressing IGF1R in a medium containing platelet-derived growth factor BB (PDGF-BB) at 2.5-50 ng/ml to enhance the expression of IGF1R in the umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell expressing IGF1R. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein a source of the PDGF-BB is human cord blood serum. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein a concentration of the PDGF-BB in the medium is 5-50 ng/ml. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the medium further comprises a cytokine selected from a group consisting of epidermal growth factor (EGF), angiogenin (ANG), macrophage inflammatory protein-5 (MIP-1δ), regulated on activation, normal T-cell expressed and presumably secreted (RANTES), and a combination thereof.
