The invention claimed is: 1. A collimator comprising: an adjustable aperture; and a first pair of knobs configured to adjust a size of the adjustable aperture by manipulating one or both of the first pair of knobs; wherein the first pair of knobs are attached at opposite sides of the collimator, and wherein each of the first pair of knobs is configured to adjust a different dimension of the adjustable aperture. 2. The collimator of claim 1 , wherein the different dimensions of the adjustable aperture comprise orthogonal length and width dimensions. 3. The collimator of claim 2 , further comprising two pairs of collimator blades, wherein the first pair of knobs are each configured to move a different pair of the collimator blades. 4. The collimator of claim 3 , wherein the collimator comprises a digital display on a front side of the collimator. 5. The collimator of claim 1 , further comprising a second pair of knobs configured to adjust the size of the adjustable aperture by manipulating one or both of the second pair of knobs, wherein the second pair of knobs are attached at the same opposite sides of the collimator as the first pair of knobs, and wherein each of the second pair of knobs is configured to adjust a different dimension of the adjustable aperture. 6. The collimator of claim 5 , wherein the two knobs at a same side of the collimator are each configured to adjust a different dimension of the adjustable aperture. 7. The collimator of claim 6 , further comprising a first linear shaft and a second linear shaft, wherein the first pair of knobs are attached to opposite ends of the first linear shaft and the second pair of knobs are attached to opposite ends of the second linear shaft. 8. The collimator of claim 7 , wherein a first terminal end of the first linear shaft and a first terminal end of the second linear shaft both terminate at the same side of the collimator. 9. The collimator of claim 8 , further comprising two pairs of collimator blades, wherein the first pair of knobs are each configured to move a different pair of the two pairs of the collimator blades and the second pair of knobs are each configured to move a different pair of the two pairs of the collimator blades. 10. A collimator comprising: an adjustable aperture; and a first pair of knobs configured to adjust a size of the adjustable aperture by manipulating one or both of the first pair of knobs; wherein one of the first pair of knobs is attached at a first side of the collimator and a second one of the first pair of knobs is attached at a second side of the collimator opposite the first side, and wherein each of the first pair of knobs is configured to adjust a different dimension of the adjustable aperture. 11. The collimator of claim 10 , wherein the different dimensions of the adjustable aperture comprise orthogonal length and width dimensions. 12. The collimator of claim 11 , further comprising two pairs of collimator blades, wherein the first pair of knobs are each configured to move a different pair of the collimator blades. 13. The collimator of claim 12 , wherein the collimator comprises a digital display on a front side of the collimator. 14. The collimator of claim 10 , further comprising a second pair of knobs configured to adjust the size of the adjustable aperture by manipulating one or both of the second pair of knobs, wherein the second pair of knobs are attached to the same opposite sides of the collimator as the first pair of knobs, and wherein each of the second pair of knobs is configured to adjust a different dimension of the adjustable aperture. 15. The collimator of claim 14 , wherein the two knobs at a same side of the collimator are configured to adjust a different dimension of the adjustable aperture. 16. The collimator of claim 15 , further comprising a first linear shaft and a second linear shaft, wherein the first pair of knobs are attached to opposite ends of the first linear shaft and the second pair of knobs are attached to opposite ends of the second linear shaft. 17. The collimator of claim 16 , wherein a first terminal end of the first linear shaft and a first terminal end of the second linear shaft both terminate at the same side of the collimator. 18. The collimator of claim 17 , further comprising two pairs of collimator blades, wherein the first pair of knobs are each configured to move a different pair of the two pairs of the collimator blades and the second pair of knobs are each configured to move a different pair of the two pairs of the collimator blades.
