Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A random access method and an apparatus. In the method, random access is completed in a manner in which an agent terminal performs access, so that an access requirement of a terminal can be satisfied under low energy consumption. The method and the apparatus may be applied to application scenarios such as an internet of things (IoT), machine type communication (MTC), massive machine type communication (mMTC), an internet of vehicles, and a connected vehicle.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A communication method comprising: receiving preamble identifier information and random access identifier information from a second terminal; and receiving first random access response information from a network device based on the preamble identifier information and the random access identifier information; wherein the preamble identifier information and the random access identifier information are carried on a sidelink channel. 2. The communication method according to claim 1 , wherein the first random access response information comprises first temporary identifier information and first timing advance information. 3. The communication method according to claim 2 , wherein the first temporary identifier information indicates a first temporary identifier; and the method further comprises: receiving first contention resolution information from the network device based on the first temporary identifier, wherein the first contention resolution information indicates a second temporary identifier. 4. The communication method according to claim 2 , wherein the first temporary identifier information indicates a second temporary identifier. 5. The communication method according to claim 3 , wherein the method further comprises: communicating with the network device based on the second temporary identifier or the first timing advance information. 6. The communication method according to claim 1 , wherein the method further comprises: sending first feedback information to the network device, wherein the first feedback information indicates that the network device is successfully accessed. 7. A communication apparatus, comprising: one or more processors; and a memory coupled to the one or more processors, wherein the memory stores a program to be executed by the one or more processors, and wherein the program, when executed by the one or more processors, instructs the one or more processors to perform operations comprising: receiving preamble identifier information and random access identifier information from a second terminal; and receiving first random access response information from a network device based on the preamble identifier information and the random access identifier information; wherein the preamble identifier information and the random access identifier information are carried on a sidelink channel. 8. The communication apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the first random access response information comprises first temporary identifier information and first timing advance information. 9. The communication apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the first temporary identifier information indicates a first temporary identifier; and wherein the operations further comprise: receiving first contention resolution information from the network device based on the first temporary identifier, wherein the first contention resolution information indicates a second temporary identifier. 10. The communication apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the first temporary identifier information indicates a second temporary identifier. 11. The communication apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the operations further comprise: communicating with the network device based on the second temporary identifier or the first timing advance information. 12. The communication apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the operations further comprise: sending first feedback information to the network device, wherein the first feedback information indicates that the network device is successfully accessed. 13. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, instructs the one or more processors to perform operations comprising: receiving preamble identifier information and random access identifier information from a second terminal; and receiving first random access response information from a network device based on the preamble identifier information and the random access identifier information; wherein the preamble identifier information and the random access identifier information are carried on a sidelink channel. 14. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 , wherein the first random access response information comprises first temporary identifier information and first timing advance information. 15. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 14 , wherein the first temporary identifier information indicates a first temporary identifier; and wherein the operations further comprise: receiving first contention resolution information from the network device based on the first temporary identifier, wherein the first contention resolution information indicates a second temporary identifier. 16. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 14 , wherein the first temporary identifier information indicates a second temporary identifier. 17. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 15 , wherein the operations further comprise: communicating with the network device based on the second temporary identifier or the first timing advance information. 18. The non-transitory computer readable medium according to claim 13 , wherein the operations further comprise: sending first feedback information to the network device, wherein the first feedback information indicates that the network device is successfully accessed.
