We claim: 1. A cathode material comprising a plurality of particles, the particles comprising a compound represented by Formula: Li α (Co 1-x-y-z Mn x Me z Al y )O δ , wherein 0.95<α<1.05, x<1.00, 0<y≤0.04, 0<z≤0.050, and δ=2, wherein Me is Ni, wherein the particles have a particle size distribution with a D50 ranging from 10 μm to 20 μm; wherein the particles have D10 less than 8 μm; and wherein the D99 of the particles ranges from 25 μm to 35 μm. 2. The cathode material of claim 1 , wherein Me further comprises at least one element selected from B, Na, Mg, Ti, Ca, V, Cr, Fe, Cu, Zn, Sc, Y, Ga, Zr, La, Ru, and Mo. 3. The cathode material of claim 1 , wherein the D50 ranges from 12 μm to 17 μm. 4. The cathode material of claim 1 , wherein the D90 of the particles ranges from 20 μm to 30 μm. 5. A cathode comprising the cathode material of claim 1 . 6. A battery comprising: a cathode of claim 5 ; a separator; and an anode.
