The invention claimed is: 1. An edge protection system comprising: a first expandable armoured joint configured to protect a first joint extending in a first direction; a second expandable armoured joint configured to protect a second joint extending in a second direction; and an intersection module configured to be at an intersection of the first expandable armoured joint and the second expandable armoured joint, wherein the first expandable armoured joint has a first joint line that is different from the first joint, the second expandable armoured joint has a second joint line that is different from the second joint, and wherein the intersection module provides a perimeter joint line such that there is a continuous joint line including the first joint line, the perimeter joint line, and the second joint line, wherein the perimeter joint line is different from the first joint and the second joint. 2. The edge protection system of claim 1 , wherein the intersection module includes a cover plate, and the continuous joint line extends at least partially around a perimeter of the cover plate between the first joint line and the second joint line. 3. The edge protection system of claim 2 , wherein joint openings at the perimeter of the cover plate are halved in thickness for use in a four-way intersection configuration. 4. The edge protection system of claim 3 , wherein a joint gap is split up on either side of the cover plate. 5. The edge protection system of claim 1 , wherein the first joint line has a generally wavy form and the second joint line has a generally wavy form. 6. The edge protection system of claim 5 , wherein the cover plate is arranged such that, regardless of where lengths of the wavy first and second joints are cut, the wavy first joint line and the wavy second joint line will connect to an active joint line of the intersection module. 7. The edge protection system of claim 6 , wherein the cover plate is arranged to ensure such that joint lines are matched to standard joint runs. 8. The edge protection system of claim 1 , which includes a third expandable armoured joint to protect a third joint extending in the first direction, wherein the perimeter joint line is different from the third joint. 9. The edge protection system of claim 8 , wherein: the continuous joint line is a first continuous joint line; the third expandable armoured joint has a third joint line; and the intersection module is configured to provide the perimeter joint line such that there is a second continuous joint line including the first joint line, the perimeter joint line, and the third joint line. 10. The edge protection system of claim 9 , wherein a size of a joint gap of the second joint corresponds to a combined size of the perimeter joint line at opposing sides of the second joint where the perimeter joint line crosses the first joint and the third joint. 11. The edge protection system of claim 1 , wherein the perimeter joint line includes a perimeter joint line portion that extends over a slab section that is coupled to the first expandable armored joint and the second expandable armored joint. 12. The edge protection system of claim 11 , wherein a joint gap opening of the perimeter joint line portion changes during the expansion of the first joint and the expansion of the second joint. 13. The edge protection system of claim 1 , wherein the perimeter joint line extends between the first joint and the second joint. 14. An edge protection system comprising: a first expandable armoured joint configured to protect a first joint extending in a first direction; a second expandable armoured joint configured to protect a second joint extending in a second direction; and an intersection module configured to be at an intersection of the first expandable armoured joint and the second expandable armoured joint, wherein the first expandable armoured joint has a first joint line, wherein the second expandable armoured joint has a second joint line, wherein the intersection module provides a perimeter joint line such that there is a continuous joint line including the first joint line, the perimeter joint line, and the second joint line, wherein the first joint line has a generally wavy form and the second joint line has a generally wavy form. 15. The edge protection system of claim 14 , wherein the cover plate is arranged such that, regardless of where lengths of the wavy first and second joints are cut, the wavy first joint line and the wavy second joint line will connect to an active joint line of the intersection module. 16. The edge protection system of claim 15 , wherein the cover plate is arranged to ensure such that joint lines are matched to standard joint runs. 17. The edge protection system of claim 14 , wherein the first joint line is different from the first joint, the second joint line is different from the second joint, and the perimeter joint line is different from the first joint and the second joint. 18. An edge protection system comprising: a first expandable armoured joint configured to protect a first joint extending in a first direction; a second expandable armoured joint configured to protect a second joint extending in a second direction; and an intersection module configured to be at an intersection of the first expandable armoured joint and the second expandable armoured joint, wherein the first expandable armoured joint has a first joint line, wherein the second expandable armoured joint has a second joint line, wherein the intersection module provides a perimeter joint line such that there is a continuous joint line including the first joint line, the perimeter joint line, and the second joint line, and wherein the perimeter joint line extends around an intersection of the first joint and the second joint. 19. The edge protection system of claim 18 , wherein the first joint line is different from the first joint, the second joint line is different from the second joint, and the perimeter joint line is different from the first joint and the second joint. 20. The edge protection system of claim 18 , wherein the first joint line, the second joint line, and the perimeter joint line are expandable to accommodate expansion of the first joint and the second joint.
