A household refrigeration apparatus includes an interior container with a first wall and a second wall angled thereto. The interior container bounds a first receiving space for food. An ice maker has a housing formed by wall areas of the first and second walls in certain areas. The housing bounds a receiving space of the ice maker. The housing has a wall unit separate from the interior container. The interior container has a rear wall having a base plate and a step integrally formed with the base plate. The wall unit has a wall element separate from the interior container. The wall element has an L-shape in cross-section, and the wall element has first and second wall plates together forming the L-shape. The first wall plate has a rear web resting on the step. A method for assembling an ice maker housing is also provided.

The invention claimed is: 1. A household refrigeration apparatus, comprising: an interior container having a first wall and having a second wall disposed at an angle to said first wall, said interior container bounding a first receiving space of the household refrigeration apparatus for food; an ice maker having a housing, said housing being formed by a wall area of said first wall of said interior container and a wall area of said second wall of said interior container in certain areas, said housing bounding a receiving space of said ice maker; said housing having a wall unit being a unit separate from said interior container; said interior container having a rear wall including a base plate and a step, said step being integrally formed with said base plate; said rear wall having a pedestal formed integrally with said base plate and disposed offset rearward in a depth direction of the household refrigeration apparatus relative to said base plate, said pedestal having a lower pedestal base forming said step; said rear wall having a drain gutter formed integrally with said base plate for condensation water formed in said ice maker, said drain gutter being formed in said pedestal and bulging out rearwardly relative to a rear end wall of said pedestal; said drain gutter having a front gutter edge, said rear web being disposed above said front gutter edge in a contactless manner and said rear web extending across an entire thickness of said front gutter edge in said depth direction; and said wall unit also having a wall element being a component separate from said interior container, said wall element having an L-shape in cross-section, said wall element having a first wall plate and a second wall plate together forming said L-shape, and said first wall plate having a rear web resting on said step. 2. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said lower pedestal base is spaced from said drain gutter. 3. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said wall unit has at least one positioning element formed integrally with said wall unit, said at least one positioning element being a protruding plug pin or a locking element. 4. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein said wall unit has a front area as viewed in said depth direction, and said plug pin or locking element is disposed on said front area adjacent to a front edge of said housing. 5. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein said plug pin or locking element is disposed at an edge of said first wall plate. 6. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein said at least one positioning bracket of said wall unit is non-rectilinear and includes a horizontal bracket leg, and said plug pin is disposed on a top side of said horizontal bracket leg. 7. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 6 , wherein said at least one positioning bracket has an L-shape and includes a vertical bracket leg in addition to said horizontal bracket leg. 8. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein said at least one positioning bracket is integrally formed and is a component separate from said wall element, said at least one positioning bracket is non-destructively detachably connected to said wall element, said housing has a depth direction, said wall element has a front area, and said at least one positioning bracket is disposed on said front area. 9. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 3 , wherein said wall area of said first wall or said wall area of said second wall has a receptacle for non-destructively detachably attaching said plug pin or locking element to form a pre-assembly position of said wall unit at said interior container. 10. The household refrigeration apparatus according to claim 3 , which further comprises at least one fixing connection of said wall unit at said interior container in addition to said plug pin or locking element.
