What is claimed is: 1. A storage system comprising: a first storage container comprising: a first cleat receptacle configured at a first top face of the first storage container, the first cleat receptacle comprising two sidewalls, a back wall, and a wing, the back wall extending between the two sidewalls, the two sidewalls and the back wall projecting from a first coupling surface of the first top face, and the wing extending away from the back wall in a first direction above the first coupling surface; a first lid pivotally attached to the first storage container; and a first toggle locking latch configured to latch the first lid in a closed position; and a second storage container comprising: a first projection extending from a bottom surface of the second storage container, the first projection comprising a projection portion extending in a second direction opposite the first direction, the projection portion of the second storage container is engageable with the wing such that the projection portion engages between the wing and the first coupling surface, wherein attaching engagement between the second storage container and the first storage container takes place when the projection portion and the wing are engaged, thereby restricting separation between the second storage container and the first storage container; a second lid pivotally attached to the second storage container; a second toggle locking latch configured to latch the second lid in a closed position; a front face; a rear face opposite the front face; a first side face; a second side face opposite the first side face; a first mounting rail coupled to the second storage container and extending between the front face and the first side face, the first mounting rail defining a first outer surface that faces away from each of the front face and the first side face, wherein the first mounting rail is formed from a first material comprising metal; and a second mounting rail coupled to the second storage container and extending between the rear face and the first side face, and the second mounting rail defining a second outer surface that faces away from each of the rear face and the first side face, wherein the second mounting rail is formed from the first material; a locking aperture defined by the first storage container; and a latch member coupled to the second storage container, the locking aperture configured to receive the latch member, wherein disconnecting the second storage container from the first storage container can be performed only after disengaging the latch member from the locking aperture. 2. The storage system of claim 1 , comprising a mount resiliently snapped to the first mounting rail and the second mounting rail such that the mount extends along the first side face between the first mounting rail and the second mounting rail. 3. The storage system of claim 2 , comprising a first storage bin slidably and removably coupled to the mount, the first storage bin comprising a first storage area configured to receive and store one or more objects. 4. The storage system of claim 3 , wherein the latch member is spring biased to engage with the locking aperture. 5. The storage system of claim 4 , the first storage container comprising a plurality of cleat receptacles including the first cleat receptacle, each of the plurality of cleat receptacles comprising two sidewalls, a back wall, and a wing, the back wall extending between the two sidewalls, the two sidewalls and the back wall projecting from the first coupling surface, and the wing extending away from the back wall in a first direction above the first coupling surface. 6. The storage system of claim 5 , the second storage container comprising: a second cleat receptacle configured at a second top face of the second storage container, the second cleat receptacle comprising two sidewalls, a back wall, and a wing, the back wall extending between the two sidewalls, the two sidewalls and the back wall projecting from the second coupling surface, and the wing extending away from the back wall in the first direction above the second coupling surface. 7. The storage system of claim 5 , the second storage container comprising: a first handle pivotally coupled to the front face of the second storage container. 8. The storage system of claim 3 , comprising a second storage bin slidably and removably coupled to the mount, the second storage bin comprising a second storage area configured to receive and store one or more objects. 9. The storage system of claim 8 , wherein the second storage area is larger than the first storage area. 10. The storage system of claim 2 , wherein the mount includes a plurality of hooks. 11. The storage system of claim 2 , comprising a plurality of hooks integrally molded with the mount. 12. The storage system of claim 2 , comprising a storage bin removably attached to the mount. 13. The storage system of claim 12 , the storage bin comprising a storage compartment area configured to receive and store one or more objects. 14. The storage system of claim 1 , comprising: a first clip removably mounted to the first mounting rail; and a second clip removably mounted to the second mounting rail, wherein the first clip and the second clip are configured to collectively receive a cord that is wrapped around the first clip and the second clip. 15. The storage system of claim 14 , wherein the cord is a power cord.
