Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A lens moving apparatus includes a housing for supporting a first magnet, a bobbin, which includes a first coil provided on an outer surface thereof and which moves in a first direction, a support member, which is disposed over one side surface of the housing, and which supports the bobbin and the housing such that the bobbin and the housing are movable in second and/or third directions, which are perpendicular to the first direction, a second coil, which is disposed over the housing, and which is spaced apart from the support member by a predetermined distance and which generates an electromagnetic force to move the support member in the second and/or third directions, and a printed circuit board disposed over the second coil.

First claim

The invention claimed is: 1. A camera module comprising: a housing; a magnet disposed on the housing; a bobbin configured to move in a first direction; a coil disposed over the housing so as to be spaced apart from the housing; a circuit board disposed over the coil and electrically connected to the coil; a base disposed under the housing and spaced apart from the housing; and a support member configured to support the housing, wherein the support member comprises a first portion coupled to the housing and a second portion coupled to the base, wherein the coil is configured to move the housing, in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and a third direction perpendicular to the first direction, by an interaction with the magnet, wherein the coil is positioned higher than the first portion of the support member, and wherein the coil is positioned closer to the first portion of the support member than it is to the second portion of the support member. 2. The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the magnet comprises four magnet units and the coil comprises four coil units corresponding to the four magnet units. 3. The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the support member is an elastic wire. 4. The camera module according to claim 1 , comprising a cover member disposed on the circuit board and accommodating the housing. 5. The camera module according to claim 4 , wherein the coil is disposed between the cover member and the housing. 6. The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the coil is spaced apart from the support member. 7. The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the coil is disposed between the circuit board and the housing. 8. The camera module according to claim 4 , wherein the base is coupled to the cover member. 9. The camera module according to claim 1 , comprising a lens barrel configured to move in the first direction. 10. The camera module according to claim 9 , comprising an image sensor. 11. The camera module according to claim 10 , comprising an infrared ray screening filter disposed at a position corresponding to the image sensor. 12. The camera module according to claim 1 , wherein the circuit board comprises a terminal configured to supply a current to the coil. 13. A mobile device comprising the camera module according to claim 1 . 14. The camera module according to claim 1 , comprising a lower elastic member disposed under the housing and coupled to the housing, wherein the circuit board comprises at least one first terminal member that is bent at one side of the circuit board, and the lower elastic member comprises at least one second terminal member that is bent at one side of the lower elastic member, and wherein the at least one first terminal member comprises a cutout provided at a location corresponding to the at least one second terminal member so as to inhibit the at least one second terminal member from interfering with the circuit board. 15. A camera module comprising: a cover member; a housing disposed in the cover member; a bobbin configured to move in a first direction; a magnet disposed on the housing; a coil disposed over the housing so as to be spaced apart from the housing; a circuit board disposed between the coil and an upper surface of the cover member and electrically connected to the coil; a base disposed under the housing and spaced apart from the housing; and a support member configured to support the housing, wherein the support member comprises a first portion coupled to the housing and a second portion coupled to the base, wherein the coil is configured to move the housing, in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and a third direction perpendicular to the first direction, by an interaction with the magnet, wherein the coil is positioned higher than the first portion of the support member, and wherein the coil is positioned closer to the first portion of the support member than it is to the second portion of the support member. 16. The camera module according to claim 15 , wherein the magnet comprises four magnet units and the coil comprises four coil units corresponding to the four magnet units. 17. The camera module according to claim 15 , wherein the support member is an elastic wire. 18. The camera module according to claim 15 , wherein the base is coupled to the cover member. 19. The camera module according to claim 15 , comprising: an image sensor; and an infrared ray screening filter disposed at a position corresponding to the image sensor. 20. The camera module according to claim 15 , wherein the circuit board is configured to supply a current to the coil. 21. The camera module according to claim 15 , comprising a lower elastic member disposed under the housing and coupled to the housing, wherein the circuit board comprises at least one first terminal member that is bent at one side of the circuit board, and the lower elastic member comprises at least one second terminal member that is bent at one side of the lower elastic member, and wherein the at least one first terminal member comprises a cutout provided at a location corresponding to the at least one second terminal member so as to inhibit the at least one second terminal member from interfering with the circuit board.
