In order to avoid generation of black unevenness caused by the water intrusion into a liquid crystal display device, there is to provide a liquid crystal display device including a display area and a terminal portion, in which a TFT substrate with an organic passivation film formed and an opposite substrate are adhered to each other by a seal portion and a liquid crystal is enclosed there, wherein in the seal portion of the TFT substrate, a groove-shaped through-hole is formed in the organic passivation film to surround the display area, a water absorption layer formed of the same material in the same process as that of the organic passivation film is formed within the groove-shaped through-hole, and the water absorption layer is not covered with the inorganic insulating film.

What is claimed is: 1. A display device comprising: a first substrate; a first organic insulation film provided on the first substrate; a second organic insulation film separated from the first organic insulation film; a conductive layer provided between the first substrate and the first organic insulation film; an inorganic insulation film provided on the first organic insulation film; and an adhesive provided on the second organic insulation and the inorganic insulation film, wherein the second organic insulation film is closer to an end of the first substrate than the first organic insulation film, the inorganic insulation film has a portion which is between the first organic insulation film and the second organic insulation film, the second organic insulation film is covered with the adhesive, and the second organic insulation film is not covered with the inorganic insulation film. 2. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the portion of the inorganic insulation film is an end of the inorganic insulation film. 3. The display device according to claim 1 , wherein the adhesive has a portion which is between the first organic insulation film and the second organic insulation film. 4. The display device according to claim 1 , further comprising a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are bonded by the adhesive. 5. The display device according to claim 4 , further comprising a black layer on the second substrate, and a color filter on the black layer, wherein the black layer has a groove is formed, the color filter has a first portion and a second portion sandwiching the groove. 6. The display device according to claim 5 , wherein the groove is overlapped with the second organic insulation film in a sectional view. 7. A display device comprising: a first substrate; a first insulation film provided on the first substrate; a second insulation film separated from the first insulation film; a conductive layer provided between the first substrate and the first insulation film; a third insulation film provided on the first insulation film; and an adhesive provided on the second insulation and the third insulation film, wherein the second insulation film is closer to an end of the first substrate than the first insulation film, the third insulation film has a portion which is between the first insulation film and the second insulation film, the second insulation film is covered with the adhesive, and the second insulation film is not covered with the third insulation film. 8. The display device according to claim 7 , wherein the portion of the third insulation film is an end of the third insulation film. 9. The display device according to claim 7 , wherein the adhesive has a portion which is between the first insulation film and the second insulation film. 10. The display device according to claim 7 , further comprising a second substrate opposed to the first substrate, wherein the first substrate and the second substrate are bonded by the adhesive. 11. The display device according to claim 10 , further comprising a black layer on the second substrate, and a color filter on the black layer, wherein the black layer has a groove is formed, the color filter has a first portion and a second portion sandwiching the groove. 12. The display device according to claim 11 , wherein the groove is overlapped with the second organic insulation film in a sectional view.
