Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A videoconferencing system receives audio and/or video signals (“AV”), information, and control signals from meeting participants. The videoconferencing system processes and routes the received AV and information, based on the received control signals, to provide AV and information to meeting participants. The videoconferencing system enables participants to know details about breakout room (e.g., what breakout rooms are available, how many people are attending each breakout room, who is attending each breakout room, the topics of the breakout rooms), hear audio, see video, and receive information corresponding breakout rooms that they have not joined, join a breakout room, leave a breakout room, create breakout rooms, invite other participants to join a breakout room, and make a breakout room private.

What is claimed: 1. A system, comprising: a routing signal generator configured to: receive input control signals; generate, based at least on the received input control signals: output control signals; primary routing signals; secondary routing signals; and secondary AV processing signals; and provide: the output control signals; the primary routing signals to a router module; the secondary routing signals to the router module; and the secondary audio and/or video processing signals to an AV processor module; the router module configured to: receive: input information; input audio and/or video signals; primary routing signals from the routing signal generator; secondary rounting signals from the routing signal generator; and processed audio and/or video signals from the AV processor module; generate, based at least on the received input information, input audio and/or video signals, primary routing signals, secondary rounting signals, and processed audio and/or video signals: primary output audio and/or video signals; secondary output audio and/or video signals; and output information; and provide: the primary output audio and/or video signals; the secondary output audio and/or video signals; and the output information; and the AV processor module, configured to: receive: the input audio and/or video signals; and the secondary AV processing signals from the routing signal generator; generate, based at least on the received input audio and/or video signals and the secondary AV processing signals: processed audio and/or video signals by compressing the received input audio and/or video signals; and provide: the processed audio and/or video signals to the router module; wherein the secondary output audio and/or video signals are a lower quality than the primary output audio and/or video signals; and wherein the router module provides primary output audio and/or video signals to a first meeting participant and provides secondary output audio and/or video signals to a second meeting participant based at least on the received input control signals. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the input audio and/or video signals comprise one of audio signals from a microphone and audio signals from a computing device. 3. The system of claim 1 , wherein the input audio and/or video signals comprise one of video signals from a camera and video signals from a computing device. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein the AV processor module comprises: an audio processor configured to generate, based at least on the received input audio signals and the secondary AV processing signals, processed audio signals by compressing the received input audio signals. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the AV processor module comprises: a video processor configured to generate, based at least on the received video signals and the secondary AV processing signals, processed video signals by compressing the received input video signals. 6. A system, comprising: a routing signal generator configured to: receive input control signals; generate, based at least on the received input control signals: output control signals; primary routing signals; secondary routing signals; and secondary AV processing signals; and provide: the output control signals; the primary routing signals to a router module; the secondary routing signals to the router module; and the secondary audio and/or video processing signals to an AV processor module; the router module configured to: receive: input information; input audio and/or video signals; primary routing signals from the routing signal generator; secondary rounting signals from the routing signal generator; and processed audio and/or video signals from the AV processor module; generate, based at least on the received input information, input audio and/or video signals, primary routing signals, secondary rounting signals, and processed audio and/or video signals: primary output audio and/or video signals; secondary output audio and/or video signals; and output information; and provide: the primary output audio and/or video signals; the secondary output audio and/or video signals; and the output information; and the AV processor module, configured to: receive: the input audio and/or video signals; and the secondary AV processing signals from the routing signal generator; generate, based at least on the received input audio and/or video signals and the secondary AV processing signals: processed audio and/or video signals by reducing the resolution of the received input audio and/or video signals; and provide: the processed audio and/or video signals to the router module; wherein the secondary output audio and/or video signals are a lower quality than the primary output audio and/or video signals; and wherein the router module provides primary output audio and/or video signals to a first meeting participant and provides secondary output audio and/or video signals to a second meeting participant based at least on the received input control signals. 7. The system of claim 6 , wherein the input audio and/or video signals comprise one of audio signals from a microphone and audio signals from a computing device. 8. The system of claim 6 , wherein the input audio and/or video signals comprise one of video signals from a camera and video signals from a computing device. 9.
