A refrigerator includes a storage compartment having a front opening and an air sanitation device mounted on a top wall of the storage compartment. The air sanitation device includes: a housing, an air channel located in the housing, a fan, and an air detection device and/or an air purification device located in the air channel. The housing includes a front wall facing the front opening, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a pair of side walls. The air channel includes an air inlet and an air outlet. The fan is configured to force air to enter the air channel from the air inlet, and then be discharged out from the air outlet. The air inlet is located on at least one of the side walls, and the air outlet is located on the rear wall.

The invention claimed is: 1. A refrigerator, comprising: a storage compartment having a front opening and a top wall; an air sanitation device mounted on said top wall of said storage compartment, said air sanitation device containing: a housing having a front wall facing said front opening, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a pair of side walls; an air channel disposed in said housing, said air channel having an air inlet and an air outlet; a fan configured to force air to enter said air channel from said air inlet, and then be discharged out of said air channel from said air outlet; an air detection device and/or an air purification device disposed in said air channel; said air inlet is disposed on at least one of said side walls, said air outlet is disposed on said rear wall, said air channel having a first channel segment disposed between said air inlet and said fan and a second channel segment disposed between said fan and said air outlet, said first channel segment extending transversely toward said fan, said second channel segment extending toward said rear wall in a front-to-rear direction; a baffle wall disposed between said first channel segment and said rear wall, to define two mounting regions between said rear wall and said baffle wall, said second channel segment is disposed between said two mounting regions in a transverse direction of said air sanitation device; and at least one electric component disposed in at least one of said two mounting regions, said at least one electric component is electrically connected to said air detection device and/or said air purification device. 2. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein said at least one electric component includes a control unit and/or a power supply unit electrically connected to said air detection device and/or said air purification device. 3. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein: said first channel segment is one of two first channel segments forming a pair of first channel segments; said fan has an inlet and an outlet; said air inlet is disposed on each of said side walls; and said pair of first channel segments merge at said inlet of said fan, and said second channel segment extends rearward from said outlet of said fan. 4. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein: said air detection device is disposed in said first channel segment, said air detection device has a circuit board and a gas sensor fixed to said circuit board; and/or said air purification device includes a filter disposed in said first channel segment and/or an ion generator disposed in said second channel segment. 5. A refrigerator, comprising: a storage compartment having a front opening and a top wall; an air sanitation device mounted on said top wall of said storage compartment, said air sanitation device containing: a housing having a front wall facing said front opening, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a pair of side walls; an air channel disposed in said housing, said air channel having an air inlet and an air outlet; a fan configured to force air to enter said air channel from said air inlet, and then be discharged out of said air channel from said air outlet; an air detection device and an air purification device disposed in said air channel; said air inlet is disposed on at least one of said side walls, said air outlet is disposed on said rear wall, said air channel having a first channel segment disposed between said air inlet and said fan and a second channel segment disposed between said fan and said air outlet, said first channel segment extending transversely toward said fan, said second channel segment extending toward said rear wall in a front-to-rear direction; said air detection device is disposed in said first channel segment, said air detection device has a circuit board and a gas sensor fixed to said circuit board; said air purification device has a filter disposed in said first channel segment and/or an ion generator disposed in said second channel segment; and a first boundary wall and a second boundary wall in opposite arrangement to define at least a part of said air channel, wherein said first boundary wall is disposed above said second boundary wall, said gas sensor protrudes upward from said circuit board toward said first boundary wall, an inlet of said fan faces downward to said second boundary wall, and an inlet of said gas sensor is higher than said inlet of said fan. 6. The refrigerator according to claim 5 , wherein said air inlet is configured to enable the air to flow obliquely upward toward said first boundary wall after the air enters said air channel. 7. The refrigerator according to claim 6 , wherein at least one of said side walls has an oblique portion inclined downward, said air inlet is disposed on said oblique portion, and said inlet of said fan is open downward. 8. The refrigerator according to claim 1 , wherein said second channel segment is disposed in such a way that the air is obliquely downward discharged out from said rear wall of said housing. 9. The refrigerator according to claim 8 , wherein said upper wall contains a guiding portion disposed adjacent to said air outlet and projecting obliquely downward in a front-to-rear direction. 10. A refrigerator, comprising: a storage compartment having a front opening and a top wall; an air sanitation device mounted on said top wall of said storage compartment, said air sanitation device containing: a housing having a front wall facing said front opening, a rear wall, an upper wall, a lower wall, and a pair of side walls; an air channel disposed in said housing, said air channel having an air inlet and an air outlet; a fan configured to force air to enter said air channel from said air inlet, and then be discharged out of said air channel from said air outlet; an air detection device and/or an air purification device disposed in said air channel; said air inlet is disposed on at least one of said side walls, said air outlet is disposed on said rear wall, said air channel having a first channel segment disposed between said air inlet and said fan and a second channel segment disposed between said fan and said air outlet, said first channel segment extending transversely toward said fan, said second channel segment extending toward said rear wall in a front-to-rear direction; a carrying plate and an illumination device disposed in said housing; said housing having a light outlet; and said air detection device and/or said air purification device are fixed to a first side of said carrying plate away from said light outlet, and said illumination device is disposed between a second side of said carrying plate facing said light outlet and said light outlet.
