A power tool system includes a removable battery pack a first tool and a second tool. The first tool includes a first base housing that is selectively engageable with the removable battery pack and a first tool portion connected to the first base housing by a first connecting section. The second tool includes a second base housing that is selectively engageable with the removable battery pack and a second tool portion connected to the second base housing by a second connecting section. The second tool base housing houses a second controller that provides a proportional power delivery system for the second tool and second tool base housing also includes a second actuator for providing user control of the second tool.

What is claimed is: 1. A glue gun, comprising: a tool base comprising a tool base housing; a power tool battery pack removably connected to the tool base, the power tool battery pack configured to serve as a weighted base for placement on a stable surface such that the tool remains in place; a glue gun tool section; wherein the glue gun tool section is configured to be used and positioned remote from the tool base housing. 2. The glue gun of claim 1 , wherein the glue gun tool section comprises a user operated actuator. 3. The glue gun of claim 1 , further comprising a tool rest configured to support the glue gun tool section. 4. The glue gun of claim 3 , wherein the tool rest extends from the tool base housing. 5. The glue gun of claim 1 , further comprising a printed circuit board disposed in the tool base housing; and a controller on the printed circuit board; wherein the tool base is disposed adjacent to the battery pack. 6. The glue gun of claim 1 , wherein the tool base comprises a first user operated actuator; wherein the glue gun tool section comprises a second user operated actuator. 7. The glue gun of claim 1 , further comprising a printed circuit board in the tool base housing. 8. The glue gun of claim 7 , further comprising a controller on the printed circuit board. 9. The glue gun of claim 8 , wherein the controller is configured to provide pulse-width-modulation power. 10. The glue gun of claim 9 , wherein the controller is configured to provide proportional power delivery in a range of 80 Watts to 120 Watts. 11. The glue gun of claim 10 , wherein the printed circuit board is disposed in a plane generally parallel to a bottom of the battery pack. 12. The glue gun of claim 11 , wherein the tool base is disposed adjacent to the battery pack. 13. A glue gun, comprising: a tool base comprising a tool base housing; a power tool battery pack removably connected to the tool base, the power tool battery pack configured to serve as a weighted base for placement on a stable surface such that the tool remains in place; a glue gun tool section; a tool rest configured to support the glue gun tool section; wherein the glue gun tool section is configured to be used and positioned remote from the tool base housing; wherein the glue gun tool section comprises a user operated actuator. 14. The glue gun of claim 13 , wherein, when the battery pack is placed on a flat stable surface, the tool base is above the battery pack. 15. The glue gun of claim 13 , wherein, when the battery pack is placed on a flat stable surface and the glue gun tool section is on the tool rest, the tool base is above the battery pack and the glue gun tool section is above the battery pack. 16. The glue gun of claim 15 , further comprising a printed circuit board in the tool base housing; a controller on the printed circuit board; wherein the controller is configured to provide pulse-width-modulation power; and wherein the controller is configured to provide proportional power delivery in a range of 80 Watts to 120 Watts. 17. A glue gun, comprising: a tool base comprising a tool base housing; a power tool battery pack removably connected to the tool base, the power tool battery pack configured to serve as a weighted base for placement on a stable surface such that the tool remains in place; a glue gun tool section; a tool rest configured to support the glue gun tool section; wherein the glue gun tool section is configured to be selectively be on the tool rest or positioned and used remote from the tool base housing; wherein the glue gun tool section comprises a user operated actuator; wherein, when the battery pack is placed on a flat stable surface and the glue gun tool section is on the tool rest, the glue gun tool section is above the battery pack. 18. The glue gun of claim 17 , further comprising a printed circuit board in the tool base housing; and a controller on the printed circuit board. 19. The glue gun of claim 18 , wherein the controller is configured to provide pulse-width-modulation power. 20. The glue gun of claim 19 , wherein the controller is configured to provide proportional power delivery in a range of 80 Watts to 120 Watts.
