Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

An object of the present invention is to provide a sway amount estimation system that can suppress a reduction in user convenience that would occur if the operation method is switched more than necessary. A sway amount estimation system ( 300 ) includes a sensing unit ( 78 ), a judgment unit ( 80 ), and an estimation unit ( 79 ). The estimation unit ( 79 ) calculates an estimated value of the amount of sway of an elevator rope due to vibration caused by building sway based on the sway sensed by the sensing unit ( 78 ) and an estimation model incorporating the effect of the displacement amplification of the displacement amplifier ( 7 ). The judgment unit ( 80 ) judges if the estimated value calculated by the estimation unit ( 79 ) is greater than a threshold for switching the operation method for the elevator apparatus ( 11 ).

The invention claimed is: 1. A sway amount estimation system comprising: a sensor that senses sway of a building in which an elevator apparatus is provided, the elevator apparatus including a displacement amplifier that amplifies a displacement of part of an elevator rope in a longitudinal direction; and processing circuitry to judge if an estimated value of an amount of sway of the elevator rope due to vibration caused by the sway of the building is greater than a threshold for switching an operation method for the elevator apparatus, and to calculate the estimated value based on the sway sensed by the sensor and an estimation model incorporating an effect of displacement amplification of the displacement amplifier, wherein wherein when the elevator rope is a main rope for moving a car of an elevator, the processing circuitry judges if an estimated value of an amount of sway of the main rope due to vibration caused by the sway of the building is greater than the threshold, the processing circuitry calculates as the estimated value the amount of sway of the main rope based on the sway sensed by the sensor and the estimation model incorporating the effect of displacement amplification of the displacement amplifier, when the displacement amplifier is a device that amplifies the displacement due to vibration of the elevator rope when the displacement amplifier is in a first state, and does not amplify the displacement due to vibration of the elevator rope when the displacement amplifier is in a second state, the processing circuitry switches a state of the displacement amplifier to the first state if the car is stopped at a resonance floor when the sensor has sensed sway of the building, and after the state of the displacement amplifier has been switched, the processing circuitry calculates as the estimated value the amount of sway of the main rope based on the sway sensed by the sensor and the estimation model incorporating the effect of displacement amplification of the displacement amplifier in the first state. 2. The sway amount estimation system according to claim 1 , wherein when the displacement amplifier has negative stiffness with which a force is applied to the elevator rope in a direction of the displacement of the elevator rope, the force becoming greater as the displacement becomes greater in the direction of the displacement, the processing circuitry calculates the estimated value based on a negative stiffness value of the displacement amplifier. 3. The sway amount estimation system according to claim 1 , further comprising a limiting member that controls displacement amplification performed by the displacement amplifier such that the displacement of the elevator rope amplified by the displacement amplifier does not become greater than a first displacement, the first displacement being the displacement of the elevator rope by which the elevator rope is not allowed to return to an equilibrium position of the vibration. 4. The sway amount estimation system according to claim 3 , wherein: the processing circuitry calculates as the estimated value the displacement of the elevator rope at a position where the displacement amplifier is provided, and the processing circuitry judges if the estimated value is greater than the threshold by using the first displacement as the threshold. 5. An elevator apparatus comprising the sway amount estimation system according to claim 1 . 6. A sway amount estimation system comprising: a sensor that senses sway of a building in which an elevator apparatus is provided, the elevator apparatus including a displacement amplifier that amplifies a displacement of part of an elevator rope in a longitudinal direction; and processing circuitry to judge if an estimated value of an amount of sway of the elevator rope due to vibration caused by the sway of the building is greater than a threshold for switching an operation method for the elevator apparatus, and to calculate the estimated value based on the sway sensed by the sensor and an estimation model incorporating an effect of displacement amplification of the displacement amplifier, wherein when the elevator rope is a main rope for moving a car of an elevator, the processing circuitry judges if an estimated value of an amount of sway of the main rope due to vibration caused by the sway of the building is greater than the threshold, the processing circuitry calculates as the estimated value the amount of sway of the main rope based on the sway sensed by the sensor and the estimation model incorporating the effect of displacement amplification of the displacement amplifier, when the displacement amplifier is a device that amplifies the displacement due to vibration of the elevator rope when the displacement amplifier is in a first state, and does not amplify the displacement due to vibration of the elevator rope when the displacement amplifier is in a second state, the processing circuitry switches a state of the displacement amplifier to the second state if the car is not stopped at a resonance floor when the sensor has sensed sway of the building, and after the state of the displacement amplifier has been switched, the processing circuitry calculates as the estimated value the amount of sway of the main rope based on the sway sensed by the sensor and a position of the car. 7. The sway amount estimation system according to claim 6 , wherein when the displacement amplifier has negative stiffness with which a force is applied to the elevator rope in a direction of the displacement of the elevator rope, the force becoming greater as the displacement becomes greater in the direction of the displacement, the processing circuitry calculates the estimated value based on a negative stiffness value of the displacement amplifier. 8. The sway amount estimation system according to claim 6 , further comprising a limiting member that controls displacement amplification performed by the displacement amplifier such that the displacement of the elevator rope amplified by the displacement amplifier does not become greater than a first displacement, the first displacement being the displacement of the elevator rope by which the elevator rope is not allowed to return to an equilibrium position of the vibration. 9. The sway amount estimation system according to claim 8 , wherein: the processing circuitry calculates as the estimated value the displacement of the elevator rope at a position where the displacement amplifier is provided, and the processing circuitry judges if the estimated value is greater than the threshold by using the first displacement as the threshold.
