The invention claimed is: 1. A fluid end section, comprising: a housing having opposed first and second surfaces joined by an outer intermediate surface and a horizontal bore formed therein, the horizontal bore configured to receive a fluid routing plug; in which the housing comprises a first section joined to a second section by a first plurality of fasteners, the first and second sections each configured to receive a portion of the fluid routing plug; in which the first section of the housing comprises: opposed front and rear surfaces, in which the front surface is the first surface of the housing; a plurality of passages formed within the first section and interconnecting the opposed front and rear surfaces, each of the plurality of passages configured to receive one of a plurality of stay rods, the plurality of stay rods configured to attach the fluid end section to a power end; and a plurality of threaded openings formed in the first section and opening at the rear surface, each of the plurality of threaded openings having a first end of one of the first plurality of fasteners installed therein. 2. The fluid end section of claim 1 , in which the second section comprises: a front portion joined to a rear portion, the rear portion comprising the second surface of the housing; and a plurality of passages formed in the front portion and positioned to align with the plurality of threaded openings formed in the first section, each of the plurality of passages having one of the first plurality of fasteners extending therethrough. 3. The fluid end section of claim 2 , further comprising: a plurality of nuts, each of the plurality of nuts installed on a second end of each of the first plurality of fasteners and engaging the front portion of the second section. 4. The fluid end section of claim 2 , further comprising: a second plurality of fasteners, each of the second plurality of fasteners installed within the rear portion of the second section of the housing. 5. The fluid end section of claim 4 , further comprising: a stuffing box attached to the rear portion of the second section of the housing using the second plurality of fasteners, the stuffing box configured to receive a plunger packing. 6. The fluid end section of claim 1 , in which the second section is configured to receive at least a portion of a reciprocating plunger within the horizontal bore. 7. The fluid end section of claim 5 , further comprising: a retainer attached to the stuffing box using the second plurality of fasteners, the retainer configured to receive a packing nut. 8. The fluid end section of claim 1 , further comprising: a discharge bore formed in the housing and interconnecting the horizontal bore and the outer intermediate surface; and an intake bore formed in the housing and interconnecting the horizontal bore and the outer intermediate surface; in which the discharge and intake bores are both formed in the first section of the housing. 9. The fluid end section of claim 7 , in which the second plurality of fasteners extend through aligned passages formed in the stuffing box and the retainer. 10. The fluid end section of claim 1 , further comprising: a fluid routing plug that is the fluid routing plug installed within the housing, the fluid routing plug comprising a body having a discharge surface and a suction surface; a discharge valve installed within the first section of the housing and configured to seal against the discharge surface; and a suction valve installed within the second section of the housing and configured to seal against the suction surface. 11. The fluid end section of claim 5 , in which at least a portion of the stuffing box is installed within the second section of the housing, the fluid end section further comprising: an annular seal installed with the second section of the housing and engaging an outer surface of the stuffing box; and a wear ring installed within the second section of the housing and surrounding the annular seal. 12.
