A method of coding implemented by a decoding device, comprising: setting a value of candidate intra prediction mode of a current block to be a default value, wherein the current block is predicted using an intra prediction mode but not a Matrix-based Intra Prediction (MIP) mode and a neighboring block adjacent to the current block is used to derive the value of candidate intra prediction mode of the current block and is predicted using MIP mode; obtaining a value of the intra prediction mode of the current block according to the default value.

The invention claimed is: 1. A method of coding implemented by a decoding device, comprising: setting a value of candidate intra prediction mode of a current block to be a default value, wherein the current block is predicted using an intra prediction mode but not a Matrix-based Intra Prediction (MIP) mode and a neighboring block adjacent to the current block is used to derive the value of candidate intra prediction mode of the current block and is predicted using the MIP mode, the default value corresponding to a non-angular intra mode, wherein the MIP mode takes one line of reconstructed neighboring boundary samples left of the current block and one line of restricted neighboring boundary samples above the current block as input, wherein when performing chroma mode derivation, corresponded luma mode is set to a Planar mode; and obtaining a value of the intra prediction mode of the current block according to the default value. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the default value of the candidate intra prediction mode of the current block is 0 or 1, wherein a value of 0 indicates the Planar mode and a value of 1 indicates a DC mode. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein whether the current block is predicted using a MIP mode or not is indicated according to a value of a MIP indication information. 4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the MIP indication information is indicated by a flag intra_mip_flag. 5. A method of coding implemented by an encoding device, comprising: setting a value of candidate intra prediction mode of a current block to be a default value, wherein the current block is predicted using an intra prediction mode but not a Matrix-based Intra Prediction (MIP) mode and a neighboring block adjacent to the current block is used to derive the value of candidate intra prediction mode of the current block and is predicted using the MIP mode, the default value corresponding to a non-angular intra mode, wherein the MIP mode takes one line of reconstructed neighboring boundary samples left of the current block and one line of restricted neighboring boundary samples above the current block as input, wherein when performing chroma mode derivation, corresponded luma mode is set to Planar mode; and encoding a value of the intra prediction mode of the current block according to the default value. 6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the default value of the candidate intra prediction mode of the current block is 0 or 1, a value of 0 indicates the Planar mode and a value of 1 indicates a DC mode. 7. The method of claim 5 , wherein whether the current block is predicted using a MIP mode or not is indicated according to a value of a MIP indication information. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the MIP indication information is indicated by a flag intra_mip_flag. 9. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to one or more processors and storing instructions for execution by the one or more processors, wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, configures a decoder to: set a value of candidate intra prediction mode of a current block to be a default value, wherein the current block is predicted using an intra prediction mode but not a Matrix-based Intra Prediction (MIP) mode and a neighboring block adjacent to the current block is used to derive the value of candidate intra prediction mode of the current block and is predicted using the MIP mode, the default value corresponding to a non-angular intra mode, wherein the MIP mode takes one line of reconstructed neighboring boundary samples left of the current block and one line of restricted neighboring boundary samples above the current block as input, wherein when performing chroma mode derivation, corresponded luma mode is set to Planar mode; and obtain a value of the intra prediction mode of the current block according to the default value. 10. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the default value of the candidate intra prediction mode of the current block is 0 or 1, a value of 0 indicates the Planar mode and a value of 1 indicates a DC mode. 11. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein whether the current block is predicted using a MIP mode or not is indicated according to a value of a MIP indication information. 12. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the MIP indication information is indicated by a flag intra_mip_flag. 13. A decoder, comprising: one or more processors; and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium coupled to the one or more processors and storing programming for execution by the one or more processors, wherein the programming, when executed by the one or more processors, configures the decoder to carry out operations of: setting a value of candidate intra prediction mode of a current block to be a default value, wherein the current block is predicted using an intra prediction mode but not a Matrix-based Intra Prediction (MIP) mode and a neighboring block adjacent to the current block is used to derive the value of candidate intra prediction mode of the current block and is predicted using the MIP mode, the default value corresponding to a non-angular intra mode, wherein the MIP mode takes one line of reconstructed neighboring boundary samples left of the current block and one line of restricted neighboring boundary samples above the current block as input, wherein when performing chroma mode derivation, corresponded luma mode is set to Planar mode; and obtaining a value of the intra prediction mode of the current block according to the default value. 14. The decoder of claim 13 , wherein the default value of the candidate intra prediction mode of the current block is 0 or 1, a value of 0 indicates the Planar mode and a value of 1 indicates a DC mode. 15. The decoder of claim 13 , wherein whether the current block is predicted using a MIP mode or not is indicated according to a value of a MIP indication information. 16. The decoder of claim 15 , wherein the MIP indication information is indicated by a flag intra_mip_flag.
