We claim: 1. A method for collecting biochar fines from biochar for use in the water pathway of a water treatment process, wherein 95% of the biochar fines are between 0.1-0.5 mm in equivalent diameter, the method comprising the step of: treating biochar with a treating solution; and adding one or more flocculant and/or coagulant chemicals to the treating solution to create a biochar slurry. 2. The method of claim 1 further comprising the step of placing the biochar slurry in the water pathway of a water treatment process. 3. The method of claim 2 where the biochar slurry is de-watered prior to placing the biochar slurry in the water pathway of a water treatment process. 4. The method of claim 1 where the flocculants and/or coagulants chemicals improve the adsorptive properties of the biochar fines.
