Foot support systems include a fluid flow control system that facilitates movement of fluid into, out of, and/or within a sole structure and/or article of footwear, e.g., to change and/or control pressure in fluid filled bladder(s). Aspects of this technology may relate to one or more of: (a) footwear structures in which such systems are incorporated; (b) valve stem based fluid flow transfer systems; (c) solenoid based fluid flow transfer systems; (d) user input button features; (e) air filter features; (f) fluid tube to fluid distributor connection features; (g) fluid distributor to footwear connection features; (h) valve position sensor features; (i) valve transmission features; (j) pressure control algorithm features; (k) electronic communication features; (l) system sealing features; and/or (m) pressure sensor mounting features.

What is claimed is: 1. A foot support system for an article of footwear, comprising: a foot support bladder; a fluid distributor that includes a valve stem, the fluid distributor accepting incoming fluid from a fluid source and selectively distributing the incoming fluid to one of a plurality of locations in the foot support system based on a rotational position of the valve stem; and a drive system for moving the valve stem to a plurality of different rotational positions, wherein the drive system includes: (a) a motor having a motor pinion; (b) a first intermediate gear cluster including: (i) a first axial pin, (ii) a first gear having a first central axis coaxial with the first axial pin and engaging the motor pinion, the first gear having a first diameter, and (iii) a second gear having a second central axis coaxial with the first axial pin, the second gear having a second diameter different from the first diameter; (c) a second intermediate gear cluster including: (i) a second axial pin, (ii) a third gear having a third central axis coaxial with the second axial pin and engaging the second gear, the third gear having a third diameter, and (iii) a fourth gear having a fourth central axis coaxial with the second axial pin, the fourth gear having a fourth diameter different from the third diameter; (d) a third axial pin; and (e) a fifth gear having a third central axis coaxial with the third axial pin and engaging the fourth gear, wherein the third central axis of the fifth gear is coaxial with a rotational axis of an output of the drive system. 2. The foot support system according to claim 1 , further comprising: an input system for receiving user input indicating a fluid pressure change for fluid in the foot support bladder. 3. The foot support system according to claim 2 , wherein the motor of the drive system rotates the valve stem in response to user input received through the input system. 4. The foot support system according to claim 3 , further comprising: a midsole component, wherein the foot support bladder engages the midsole component. 5. The foot support system according to claim 4 , wherein the input system is engaged with the midsole component. 6. The foot support system according to claim 3 , further comprising: a sole component, wherein the input system is engaged with the sole component. 7. The foot support system according to claim 2 , further comprising: a sole component, wherein the input system is engaged with the sole component. 8. The foot support system according to claim 7 , wherein the input system is engaged with the sole component within a recess defined on an outer surface of the sole component. 9. An article of footwear, comprising: an upper; and a foot support system according to claim 1 engaged with the upper. 10. The article of footwear according to claim 9 , wherein the fluid source includes a foot activated pump. 11. The article of footwear according to claim 9 , further comprising: an input system for receiving user input indicating a fluid pressure change for fluid in the foot support bladder. 12. The article of footwear according to claim 11 , wherein the motor of the drive system rotates the valve stem in response to user input received through the input system. 13. The foot support system according to claim 1 , wherein the second central axis is parallel to, spaced apart from, and non-coaxial with the rotational axis of the output of the drive system. 14. The foot support system according to claim 1 , wherein the second diameter is less than the third diameter. 15. The foot support system according to claim 1 , wherein the fourth diameter is less than a fifth diameter of the fifth gear. 16. The foot support system according to claim 1 , further comprising a frame, wherein each of the motor pinion, the first axial pin, the second axial pin, and the third axial pin engages the frame. 17. The foot support system according to claim 1 , further comprising a frame, wherein each of the first intermediate gear cluster, the second intermediate gear cluster, and the fifth gear are rotatably mounted on the frame. 18. The foot support system according to claim 1 , wherein the drive system further comprises a housing, wherein the motor, the valve stem, the first intermediate gear cluster, the second intermediate gear cluster, the third axial pin, and the fifth gear are mounted in the housing. 19. The foot support system according to claim 1 , further comprising a battery supplying power to rotate the valve stem. 20. The foot support system according to claim 1 , wherein the valve stem includes a geared end.
