A filter element for filtering a fluid has a filter bellows arranged about the longitudinal axis of the filter element and enclosing an interior of the filter element. A first end disk open toward the interior is arranged at a first end of the filter element. A second closed end disk is arranged at a second end of the filter element. The second end is oppositely positioned to the first end in a direction of the longitudinal axis. The filter bellows has folds with radially outer fold edges positioned on an outer circumferential surface of the filter bellows. The filter bellows is provided with a notch at least at one of the first and second ends. The notch has an axial length in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The axial length is shorter than a length extension of the filter bellows in the direction of the longitudinal axis.

What is claimed is: 1. A filter element for filtering a fluid, the filter element comprising: a longitudinal axis; a filter bellows arranged about the longitudinal axis and enclosing an interior of the filter element; a first end disk, open toward the interior of the filter element, arranged at a first end of the filter element; a second end disk that is closed and is arranged at a second end of the filter element, wherein the second end is oppositely positioned to the first end when viewed in a direction of the longitudinal axis; wherein the filter bellows comprises folds, wherein the folds comprise radially outer fold edges positioned on an outer circumferential surface of the filter bellows; wherein the filter bellows comprises at least one notch at a respective one of the first and second ends of the filter element, wherein the at least one notch comprises an axial length in the direction of the longitudinal axis, wherein the axial length is shorter than a length extension of the filter bellows in the direction of the longitudinal axis, wherein the at least one notch is a widening of a distance between two adjacent folds of the filter bellows folds, wherein the two adjacent folds, as used herein, are neighboring folds without other folds arranged therebetween, the two adjacent folds extending across the length extension of the filter bellows, wherein the two adjacent folds have a greatest fold edge distance at the respective end of the filter element, the fold edge distance at least one notch tapers such that the fold end distance of the two adjacent folds decreases with increasing axial distance from the respective end of the filter element. 2. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one notch begins at the first or second end disk arranged at the respective first or second end and extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis away from the first or second end disk. 3. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the filter bellows comprises at least two notches of said at least one notch. 4. The filter element according to claim 3 , wherein one of the at least two notches is arranged at the first end and another one of the at least two notches is arranged at the second end. 5. The filter element according to claim 3 , wherein the at least two notches are displaced relative to each other along the outer circumferential surface of the filter bellows. 6. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the folds are embodied without interruptions in a region about the at least one notch and/or in the at least one notch. 7. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the notch is a widening portion between two of the two adjacent folds of the filter bellows in a radial direction and/or in an axial direction in relation to the longitudinal axis. 8. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one notch is formed by a notch structure provided in a tool during manufacture of the first or second end disk. 9. The filter element according to claim 1 , further comprising a support tube supporting the filter bellows, wherein the support tube comprises a wedge-shaped notch structure, wherein the wedge-shaped notch structure is arranged between and spacing apart the two adjacent folds, the wedge-shaped notch structure projecting axially in a direction towards an opposite end of the filter element. 10. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the folds are held, at least in regions between the at least one notch and an opposite end disk, at a constant distance relative to each other by fixation elements. 11. A filter system comprising: a housing comprising a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet; an filter element for filtering a fluid according to claim 1 arranged in the housing; wherein the housing comprises a counter element and the at least one notch interacts with the counter element of the housing. 12. The filter system according to claim 11 , wherein the counter element of the housing is a notch corresponding with the at least one notch of the filter bellows. 13. The filter system according to claim 11 , wherein the inlet and the outlet are arranged at the same housing part of the housing. 14. The filter system according to claim 11 , wherein the housing comprises a cover and wherein a clean fluid channel is arranged in the cover. 15. The filter system according to claim 11 , wherein the housing comprises a first pin and the filter element comprises a second pin interacting with the first pin in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the filter element. 16. The filter system according to claim 15 , wherein the first pin comprises a locking element interacting with a corresponding locking element at the second pin. 17. The filter system according to claim 16 , wherein the locking element of the first pin is a locking nose; an undercut; or a locking nose and an undercut. 18. The housing for a filter system according to claim 11 , comprising a housing part, wherein the counter element is provided at the housing part and interacts with the at least one notch of the filter bellows. 19. The housing according to claim 18 , wherein the counter element provided at the housing part is a notch corresponding with the at least one notch of the filter bellows. 20. The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the first or second end disk comprises the at least one notch and the at least one notch extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis away from the first or second end disk. 21. The filter system according to claim 11 , wherein the first or second end disk comprises the at least one notch and the at least one notch extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis away from the first or second end disk.
