The present invention is to provide an image display device capable of performing various functions in association with a mobile terminal such as a smartphone or the like, and a method for controlling the same. The image display device includes a display unit, an audio output unit, a wireless communication module for a communication between a mobile terminal and a remote controller, a controller that perform control to establish a first communication connection with the mobile terminal in response to a first communication connection request received through the wireless communication module from the mobile terminal playing first content, receive the first content from the mobile terminal through a first communication and output the first content through the audio output unit, and display a user interface for controlling playback of the first content of the mobile terminal on the display unit.

The invention claimed is: 1. An image display device comprising: a display unit; an audio output unit; a wireless communication module for a communication between a mobile terminal and a remote controller; a controller configured to perform control to: establish a first communication connection with the mobile terminal in response to a first communication connection request received through the wireless communication module from the mobile terminal playing first content; receive the first content from the mobile terminal through a first communication and output the first content through the audio output unit; and display a user interface for controlling playback of the first content of the mobile terminal on the display unit, wherein the controller is configured to perform control to: establish a second communication connection while the first communication is connected; display an execution screen of the mobile terminal to be mirrored on the display unit through a second communication while receiving the first content from the mobile terminal through the first communication; transmit a user command for selecting third content on the mirrored execution screen to the mobile terminal through the second communication; and receive the third content from the mobile terminal through the first communication and output the third content through the audio output unit. 2. The image display device of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to perform control to receive a content playlist through the first communication from the mobile terminal and display the content playlist to be overlapped on the user interface. 3. The image display device of claim 2 , wherein the controller is configured to: request a playback order change of the playlist through the first communication to the mobile terminal in response to a user command for changing the playback order of the playlist; and receive second content resulted from the playback order change from the mobile terminal through the first communication and output the second content through the audio output unit. 4. The image display device of claim 3 , wherein the first communication is a Bluetooth communication, and the playlist is transmitted based on an audio/video remote control profile (AVRCP). 5. The image display device of claim 4 , wherein the first content and the second content are transmitted based on an advanced audio distribution profile (A2DP) of the Bluetooth communication. 6. The image display device of claim 1 , wherein the second communication is a Wi-Fi communication, and the execution screen is mirrored based on a Miracast standard. 7. The image display device of claim 6 , wherein the user command for selecting the third content is transmitted through a user input back channel (UIBC) of the Miracast standard. 8. The image display device of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to perform control to perform a search by analyzing a digital music file of the first content and display a search result to be overlapped on the user interface. 9. A method for controlling an image display device, the method comprising: establishing a first communication connection with a mobile terminal in response to a first communication connection request received from the mobile terminal playing first content; receiving the first content from the mobile terminal through a first communication and outputting the first content through an audio output unit; displaying a user interface for controlling playback of the first content of the mobile terminal; establishing a second communication connection while the first communication is connected; displaying an execution screen of the mobile terminal to be mirrored on a display unit through the second communication while receiving the first content from the mobile terminal through the first communication; transmitting a user command for selecting third content on the mirrored execution screen to the mobile terminal through a second communication; and receiving the third content from the mobile terminal through the first communication and outputting the third content through the audio output unit. 10. The method of claim 9 , further comprising: receiving a content playlist through the first communication from the mobile terminal and displaying the content playlist to be overlapped on the user interface. 11. The method of claim 10 , further comprising: requesting a playback order change of the playlist through the first communication to the mobile terminal in response to a user command for changing the playback order of the playlist; and receiving second content resulted from the playback order change from the mobile terminal through the first communication and outputting the second content through the audio output unit. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the first communication is a Bluetooth communication, and the playlist is transmitted based on an audio/video remote control profile (AVRCP). 13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the first content and the second content are transmitted based on an advanced audio distribution profile (A2DP) of the Bluetooth communication. 14. The method of claim 11 , wherein the second communication is a Wi-Fi communication, and the execution screen is mirrored based on a Miracast standard. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the user command for selecting the third content is transmitted through a user input back channel (UIBC) of the Miracast standard. 16. The method of claim 9 , further comprising: performing a search by analyzing a digital music file of the first content and displaying the search result to be overlapped on the user interface.
