A negative electrode active material that includes active material core particles that allow the intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions; a conductive material disposed on a surface of each active material core particle; an organic linker that connects the active material core particles and the conductive material; and an elastomer that covers at least a part of the active material core particles and the conductive material. The conductive material includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a linear conductive material and a planar conductive material, and the organic linker is a compound that includes a hydrophobic structure and a substituent including a polar functional group.

The invention claimed is: 1. A negative electrode active material comprising: active material core particles that allow intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions; a conductive material disposed on a surface of each active material core particle; an organic linker connecting the active material core particles and the conductive material; and an elastomer covering at least a part of the active material core particles and at least a part of the conductive material, wherein the conductive material comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of a linear conductive material and a planar conductive material, and wherein the organic linker is a compound that comprises a hydrophobic structure and a substituent comprising a polar functional group. 2. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the elastomer has an area that changes in conjunction with a volume change of the active material core particles, and the conductive material twists and unfolds with the change in the area of the elastomer. 3. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the elastomer is one or more selected from the group consisting of a polysiloxane elastomer and a thermoplastic polyester elastomer. 4. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the elastomer is present in an amount of 0.1 wt % to 20 wt % in the negative electrode active material. 5. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the conductive material is present in an amount of 0.05 parts by weight to 10 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the active material core particles. 6. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the linear conductive material is one or more selected from the group consisting of a carbon fiber, a carbon nanofiber (CNF), a metal fiber, a metal nanotube, a carbon nanotube (CNT), and a conductive whisker, and wherein the planar conductive material is one or more selected from the group consisting of graphene, a metal film, and a MXene. 7. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the hydrophobic structure comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of a ring having a π-electron conjugated structure and a C3-C20 alkylene structure. 8. The negative electrode active material of claim 1 , wherein the active material core particles that allow the intercalation and deintercalation of lithium ions is one or more selected from the group consisting of Si, SiO x , wherein 0<x<2, Sn, SnO 2 , and an Si-metal alloy. 9. A method of preparing the negative electrode active material of claim 1 , comprising: (1) dispersing the active material core particles, the conductive material, and the organic linker in a solvent, wherein the conductive material is positioned on the surface of each active material core particle; (2) mixing and stirring the active material core particles obtained in step (1), which include the conductive material positioned on the surfaces thereof, with a polymer precursor and a curing agent; and (3) curing the polymer precursor while stirring the resulting mixture of step (2), wherein the elastomer is formed on at least a part of the surface of each active material core particle, wherein the conductive material comprises at least one of the linear conductive material or the planar conductive material, and wherein the organic linker is the compound that comprises the hydrophobic structure and the substituent comprising the polar functional group. 10. A negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery, comprising the negative electrode active material of claim 1 . 11. A lithium secondary battery comprising the negative electrode of claim 10 .
