A modular electronic damping control system is described and includes a damping component located at a vehicle suspension location. The modular electronic damping control system also includes a control system configured to control the damping component, and determine the type of damping component present. Also, the control system is configured to automatically tune a vehicle's suspension based on the type of damping component present, and automatically monitor the damping component and determine when a change has been made to the damping component so that the control system can then automatically re-tune the vehicle's suspension based on the change to the damping component.

What I claim is: 1. A modular electronic damping control system comprising: a first damping component located at a first vehicle suspension location of a vehicle's suspension, said first damping component comprising: a first remotely-adjustable valve coupled with a power source, said first remotely adjustable valve further comprising; a first inlet valve; and a first outlet valve in fluid communication with said first outlet valve, wherein a first damping fluid flow rate through at least one of said first inlet valve and said first outlet valve determines damping characteristics of said first damping component; a second damping component located at a second vehicle suspension location, said second damping component comprising: a second remotely-adjustable valve coupled with said power source, said second remotely adjustable valve further comprising; a second inlet valve; and a second outlet valve in fluid communication with said second outlet valve, wherein a second damp ing fluid flow rate through at least one of said second inlet valve and said second outlet valve determines damping characteristics of said second damping component; and a control system coupled to said first damping component and said second damping component, said control system comprising: a graphical user interface (GUI) for presenting damping configuration and operation information in a user interactive format, said GUI coupled with said power source; and a damping controller coupled to said first damping component and said second damping component, said damping controller disposed to control a flow of damping fluid into and out of said first damping component to adjust said damping characteristics of said first damping component and said damping controller further configured to control operation of said first remotely-adjustable valve to adjust said damping characteristics of said first damping component, said damping controller disposed to control a flow of said damping fluid into and out of said second damping component to adjust said damping characteristics of said second damping component and said damping controller further configured to control operation of said second remotely-adjustable valve to adjust said damping characteristics of said second damping component, said control system configured to automatically monitor said first damping component and determine when a change has been made to said first damping component, said control system configured to automatically re-tune said vehicle's suspension based on said change to said first damping component, said damping controller communicating said re-tune of vehicle's suspension to said GUI for display on said GUI, said modular electronic damping control system further configured to automatically determine a type of said first damping component and a type of said second damping component and automatically tune said vehicle's suspension based on said type of said first damping component and said type of said second damping component. 2. The modular electronic damping control system of claim 1 , further comprising a human machine interface (HMI) configured to provide information in a user interactive format on a display, said HMI comprising: a touch input capability configured to receive an input from a user via a user interaction with said HMI. 3. The modular electronic damping control system of claim 1 , wherein said first damping component is selected from the group consisting of: an in-line damper, a piggyback damper, a compression adjust only damper, a rebound adjust only damper, an independent compression and rebound adjust damper, and a dependent compression and rebound adjust single-valve damper. 4. The modular electronic damping control system of claim 1 , wherein said first remotely-adjustable valve includes a component selected from the group consisting of: a stepper motor, a fast acting solenoid, a flow control solenoid, and a pressure control solenoid.
