An electronic dispenser comprising a housing; a feed roller rotatably mounted within the housing; a motor operable to drive rotation of the feed roller, and wherein the motor is at least partially within the feed roller; and wherein actuation of the motor results in a noise level, external to the housing, of less than 53 A-weighted decibels.

What is claimed is: 1. An electronic dispenser comprising: a paper towel roll; a dispenser housing that holds the roll; a feed roller positioned in a non-touching relationship with respect to the roll and operable to engage sheet material unwound from the roll, and wherein the feed roller is rotatably mounted within the housing; a press roller proximate the feed roller; a motor operably connected to the feed roller to drive rotation of the feed roller, and wherein the motor is within the feed roller; a motor housing connected to the motor to support the motor within the feed roller, wherein an air gap is positioned between an outer wall of a cylindrical portion of the motor housing and an inner side wall of the feed roller such that the outer wall of the cylindrical portion and the inner side wall of the feed roller are separated by the air gap, wherein the motor housing comprises a stepped portion with a surface, and the electronic dispenser further comprises one or more bearings, wherein the one or more bearings contact the surface of the stepped portion and the dispenser housing; a seal device positioned between the motor housing and the motor to dampen vibrations caused by operation of the motor; and wherein actuation of the motor results in a noise level of dispensing actuation external to the dispenser, according to Dispenser Noise Test, of less than 53 A-weighted decibels based at least in part on the motor being within the feed roller and the seal device. 2. The electronic dispenser of claim 1 , wherein actuation of the motor results in the noise level of the dispensing actuation to be less than 50 A-weighted decibels based at least in part on the motor being within the feed roller. 3. The electronic dispenser of claim 2 , wherein actuation of the motor results in the noise level of the dispensing actuation to be less than 48 A-weighted decibels based at least in part on the motor being within the feed roller. 4. The electronic dispenser of claim 1 , wherein actuation of the motor results in the noise level of the dispensing actuation being between 45.6 and 53 A-weighted decibels based at least in part on the motor being within the feed roller. 5. The electronic dispenser of claim 1 , wherein actuation of the motor results in the noise level of the dispensing actuation being between 45.6 and 50 A-weighted decibels based at least in part on the motor being within the feed roller. 6. The electronic dispenser of claim 1 , wherein actuation of the motor results in the noise level of the dispensing actuation being between 45.6 and 47.4 A-weighted decibels based at least in part on the motor being within the feed roller. 7. The electronic dispenser of claim 1 , comprising a power supply operably connected to the motor to drive the motor, wherein the power supply is outside of the feed roller. 8. The electronic dispenser of claim 1 , wherein the air gap is placed at least above and below the outer wall of the cylindrical portion of the motor housing.
