Disclosed herein is an air conditioner capable of guiding air in a desired direction with an adjusted speed without marring the appearance to solve the above-described problems. An air conditioner comprising a ceiling-embedded type indoor unit configured to discharge air into an indoor room through an air outlet simultaneously sucking indoor air through an air inlet, wherein a air conditioner comprises, a main flap configured to guide a direction of air discharged from a air outlet in a preset direction, and a sub-flap configured to guide the direction of air between the main flap and the sub-flap in the preset direction, wherein a length of a main flap in a direction where air flows is longer than that of the sub-flap in the direction where air flows.

What is claimed is: 1. An air conditioner comprising: an indoor unit that is mountable on a ceiling, the indoor unit including: a panel having an air inlet in a central portion of the panel and an air outlet along a side of the panel; a main flap that is rotatable about a first rotation shaft; a sub-flap that is rotatable about a second rotation shaft; a gear that is rotatable by a common motor, the gear including a first extended portion extending from the gear beyond an outer circumference of the gear in a first radial direction of the gear, and a second extended portion extending from the gear beyond the outer circumference of the gear in a second radial direction of the gear; and a link engaged with the second extended portion and the sub-flap, wherein the main flap and the sub-flap are configured to guide air discharged from the air outlet in a direction determined by a position of the main flap and a position of the sub-flap, and the main flap and the sub-flap have a state in which, via rotation of the gear by the common motor, the main flap rotates about the first rotation shaft according to a force received by the main flap via the first extended portion, to change the position of the main flap, and the sub-flap rotates about the second rotation shaft according to a force received by the sub-flap via the second extended portion and the link while the main flap is rotating about the first rotation shaft, to change the position of the sub-flap. 2. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein the main flap is configured to move between a closed position where the air outlet is closed by the main flap and a control position where the air outlet is opened and the main flap guides air discharged from the air outlet. 3. The air conditioner of claim 2 , wherein when the main flap is at the closed position, the sub-flap is screened by the main flap so as not to be viewable from outside of the air conditioner. 4. The air conditioner of claim 2 , wherein when the main flap is at the control position, a flow path through which air flows to be discharged from the air outlet is formed between the main flap and the sub-flap. 5. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein a length of the main flap in an airflow direction of the air discharged from the air outlet is greater than a length of the sub-flap. 6. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein an area of the main flap in an airflow direction of the air discharged from the air outlet is greater than an area of the sub-flap. 7. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein a point at which the force received by the main flap is applied to the main flap is spaced apart from the first rotation shaft. 8. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein an indoor side surface of the main flap is provided on a same plane as an indoor side surface of the panel in an operation stop state of the air conditioner. 9. The air conditioner of claim 2 , wherein when the common motor is rotated in a first direction, the main flap moves from the closed position to the control position, and when the common motor is rotated in a second direction opposite the first direction, the main flap moves from the control position to the closed position. 10. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein the first rotation shaft is movable. 11. The air conditioner of claim 1 , wherein the second rotation shaft is fixed.
