Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Certain embodiments of the present application relate to a variable frequency drive (VFD) cabin for a pump configuration including a mobile trailer on which the VFD cabin is to be mounted. The VFD cabin generally includes a medium-voltage VFD and a ventilation system. In certain embodiments, the ventilation system is configured to generate an overpressure condition within the cabin to discourage the entry of dust and debris into the cabin. In certain embodiments, one or more components of the medium-voltage VFD are coupled to the floor of the cabin via a vibration damping system. In certain embodiments, the VFD cabin may be directly coupled to a chassis of the mobile trailer without an intervening suspension being provided between the VFD cabin and the chassis.

What is claimed is: 1. A cabin comprising: a first variable frequency drive (VFD) positioned in a cabin interior of the cabin to provide electric power at a first voltage level; a second variable frequency drive (VFD) positioned in the cabin interior to provide electric power at a second voltage level less than the first voltage level; and a ventilation system positioned in the cabin interior to cool at least one of the first VFD and the second VFD in operation of the cabin, wherein: the first VFD includes a transformer assembly and a power cell assembly, the transformer assembly includes a first vibration damping assembly mounted between a transformer assembly frame of the transformer assembly and a floor of the cabin to reduce transmission of vibrations from the floor to the transformer assembly frame in operation of the cabin, and the ventilation system includes a second vibration damping assembly mounted between one or more intake blowers of the ventilation system and the floor to reduce transmission of vibrations from the floor to the one or more intake blowers in operation of the cabin. 2. The cabin of claim 1 , wherein the power cell assembly includes a third vibration damping assembly mounted between a power cell assembly frame of the power cell assembly and the floor to reduce transmission of vibrations from the floor to the power cell assembly frame in operation of the cabin. 3. The cabin of claim 1 , further comprising: a maintenance door to permit personnel access to the power cell assembly and the transformer assembly from outside the cabin, and a closet door to permit personnel access to the second VFD from outside the cabin. 4. The cabin of claim 3 , wherein: the maintenance door is sized and shaped to prevent personnel from entering the cabin interior through the maintenance door, and the closet door is sized and shaped to prevent personnel from entering the cabin interior through the closet door. 5. The cabin of claim 1 , wherein the cabin lacks an entry door to prevent personnel from entering the cabin interior to access the power cell assembly, the transformer assembly, and the second VFD. 6. The cabin of claim 1 , further comprising: an intake port formed in one end of the cabin, an exhaust port formed in another end of the cabin opposite the one end, and an internal wall disposed in the cabin interior between the intake port and the exhaust port. 7. The cabin of claim 6 , wherein: the power cell assembly is arranged between the intake port and the internal wall, and the transformer assembly is arranged between the internal wall and the exhaust port. 8. The cabin of claim 7 , wherein the ventilation system is arranged between the intake port and the power cell assembly. 9. The cabin of claim 8 , wherein the ventilation system is arranged upstream of the power cell assembly and the transformer assembly in a direction of an airstream passing from the intake port to the exhaust port in operation of the cabin. 10. The cabin of claim 1 , wherein: the ventilation system comprises a plurality of fans; and each cooling fan is dedicated to a corresponding power cell of the power cell assembly to blow air across the corresponding power cell in operation of the cabin. 11. The cabin of claim 1 , wherein the second VFD is configured to control operation of the one or more intake blowers of the ventilation system. 12. The cabin of claim 11 , wherein: the ventilation system further comprises one or more exhaust blowers arranged in the cabin interior opposite the one or more intake blowers in a longitudinal direction; and the second VFD is configured to control operation of the one or more exhaust blowers. 13.
