A medical treatment system, such as a peritoneal dialysis system, may include a control and other features to enhance patient comfort and ease of use. For example, a cycler device may include a heater bag receiving section and a lid mounted to cover and uncover the heater bag receiving section, potentially enabling faster heating of a dialysate. A user interface may be moveable to be received into the receiving section and covered by the lid, if desired. The system may detect anomalous conditions, such as tilting of a housing of the system, and automatically recover without terminating a treatment. The system may include noise reduction features, such as porting pneumatic outputs to a common chamber, and others. The system may also automatically detect any one of several different solution lines connected to the system, and control operation accordingly, e.g., to mix solutions provided by two or more lines and form a needed dialysate solution. A cassette control surface may be arranged to have one or more ports that can detect a presence of a liquid, e.g., to identify if a cassette is leaking or has otherwise been compromised.

A fluid handling cassette for a peritoneal dialysis system, the fluid handling cassette comprising: a generally planar body having at least one pump chamber formed as a depression in a first side of the body, a plurality of flow paths for a liquid, and a patient line port fluidly coupled to the at least one pump chamber via at least one of the plurality of flow paths for the liquid; a first patient line or a second patient line arranged for fluid communication between a peritoneal cavity of a patient and the at least one pump chamber, both the first patient line and the second patient line having a cassette end directly connected to the patient line port and a distal end having a connector configured to connect to a peritoneal catheter at the patient, the first patient line and the second patient line including a collapsible tube between the cassette end and the distal end configured to be pinched by an occluder of a peritoneal dialysis cycler device to close off flow through the first patient line and the second patient line; and indicia on the body of the fluid handling cassette arranged to interact with the peritoneal dialysis cycler device to cause the peritoneal dialysis cycler device to determine which of two types of fluid handling cassettes is present in the peritoneal dialysis cycler device, a first type of the two types of fluid handling cassettes having the first patient line, and a second type of the two types of fluid handling cassettes having the second patient line, the first patient line having a lower volume than the second patient line, and wherein the indicia is arranged to cause the peritoneal dialysis cycler device to adjust a pumping operation based on a type of the fluid handling cassette. 2. The fluid handling cassette of claim 1 , wherein the first patient line is shorter or has a smaller inner diameter than the second patient line. 3. The fluid handling cassette of claim 1 , wherein the distal end of the first patient line or the second patient line is configured to be connected to a port or a connection point on the peritoneal dialysis cycler device and configured to allow a detector on the peritoneal cycler device to detect arrival of the liquid into the distal end of the first patient line or the second patient line. 4. The fluid handling cassette of claim 3 , wherein the detector comprises an optical sensor or a conductive sensor. 5. A medical system comprising: a medical device; and a fluid handling cassette of the medical system comprising a peritoneal dialysis system, the fluid handling cassette comprising: a generally planar body having at least one pump chamber formed as a depression in a first side of the body, a plurality of flow paths for a liquid, a patient line port located at a first end of the body and fluidly coupled to the at least one pump chamber via at least one of the plurality of flow paths for the liquid, and a plurality of solution line ports located at a second end of the body opposite the first end and fluidly coupled to the at least one pump chamber via at least one of the plurality of flow paths for the liquid; a first patient line or a second patient line arranged for fluid communication between a peritoneal cavity of a patient and the at least one pump chamber, both the first patient line and the second patient line having a cassette end directly connected to the patient line port and a distal end having a connector configured to connect to a peritoneal catheter at the patient, the first patient line and the second patient line including a collapsible tube between the cassette end and the distal end configured to be pinched by an occluder of the medical device to close off flow through the first patient line and the second patient line; and indicia located on the generally planar body that indicates a type of patient line; wherein the medical device is configured to recognize the indicia and determine which of two types of fluid handling cassettes is present in the medical device, a first type of the two types of fluid handling cassettes having the first patient line, and a second type of the two types of fluid handling cassettes having the second patient line, the first patient line having a lower volume than the second patient line, and wherein the medical device is configured to adjust a pumping operation based on a type of the fluid handling cassette. 6.
