Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed to manage interference caused by D2D communications. A wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) may include a processor. The processor may be configured to perform one or more of the following. The processor may determine to send information using a device-to-device transmission via a resource pool from a plurality of resource pools. Each resource pool may be associated with a range of reference signal receive power (RSRP) values. The processor may determine a RSRP measurement of a cell associated with the WTRU. The processor may select a resource pool from the plurality of resource pools based on the RSRP measurement of the cell. The RSRP measurement of the cell may be within the range of RSRP values associated with the selected resource pool. The processor may send the information using the selected resource pool.

What is claimed is: 1. A relay wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), comprising: a processor configured to: receive configuration information from a network device, wherein the configuration information indicates a first time pattern for the relay WTRU to communicate with the network device; determine, based at least on the first time pattern, a second time pattern for the relay WTRU to communicate with a remote WTRU; transmit a message to the remote WTRU, wherein the message indicates at least the second time pattern; receive a transmission from the remote WTRU based on the second time pattern; and relay the transmission from the remote WTRU to the network device based on the first time pattern. 2. The relay WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the first time pattern indicates a first time period for the relay WTRU to communicate with the network device, wherein the second time pattern indicates a second time period for the relay WTRU to communicate with the remote WTRU, and wherein the second time pattern allows the relay WTRU to relay the transmission received from the remote WTRU to the network device in the first time period. 3. The relay WTRU of claim 2 , wherein the second time pattern further indicates a third time period during which the remote WTRU is not expected to communicate with the relay WTRU. 4. The relay WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the first time pattern indicates a first set of time periods during which the relay WTRU monitors for transmission from the network device, the first time pattern further indicating a second set of time periods during which the relay WTRU skips monitoring for transmissions from the network device. 5. The relay WTRU of claim 4 , wherein the first time pattern indicates one or more paging occasions associated with the network device and the relay WTRU. 6. The relay WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the relay WTRU is in coverage of the network device, and wherein the remote WTRU is out of coverage of the network device. 7. The relay WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the second time pattern is further determined based on sidelink resources pre-allocated to the relay WTRU for communication with the remote WTRU. 8. The relay WTRU of claim 7 , wherein the processor is further configured to autonomously select a resource from the pre-allocated sidelink resources for receiving the transmission from the remote WTRU. 9. The relay WTRU of claim 7 , wherein the message transmitted by the relay WTRU to the remote WTRU further indicates a frequency resource from the pre-allocated sidelink resources for the remote WTRU to communicate with the relay WTRU. 10. The relay WTRU of claim 1 , wherein the processor is configured to determine the second time pattern based further on an indication received from the network device. 11. A method implemented by a relay wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU), the method comprising: receiving configuration information from a network device, wherein the configuration information indicates a first time pattern for the relay WTRU to communicate with the network device; determining, based at least on the first time pattern, a second time pattern for the relay WTRU to communicate with a remote WTRU; transmitting a message to the remote WTRU, wherein the message indicates at least the second time pattern; receiving a transmission from the remote WTRU based on the second time pattern; and relaying the transmission from the remote WTRU to the network device based on the first time pattern. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the first time pattern indicates a first time period for the relay WTRU to communicate with the network device, wherein the second time pattern indicates a second time period for the relay WTRU to communicate with the remote WTRU, and wherein the second time pattern allows the relay WTRU to relay the transmission received from the remote WTRU to the network device in the first time period. 13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the second time pattern further indicates a third time period during which the remote WTRU is not expected to communicate with the relay WTRU. 14. The method of claim 11 , wherein the first time pattern indicates a first set of time periods during which the relay WTRU monitors for transmission from the network device, the first time pattern further indicating a second set of time periods during which the relay WTRU skips monitoring for transmissions from the network device. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the first time pattern indicates one or more paging occasions associated with the network device and the relay WTRU. 16. The method of claim 11 , wherein the relay WTRU is in coverage of the network device, and wherein the remote WTRU is out of coverage of the network device. 17. The method of claim 11 , wherein the second time pattern is further determined based on sidelink resources pre-allocated to the relay WTRU for communication with the remote WTRU. 18. The method of claim 17 , further comprising autonomously selecting a resource from the pre-allocated sidelink resources for receiving the transmission from the remote WTRU. 19. The method of claim 17 , wherein the message transmitted by the relay WTRU to the remote WTRU further indicates a frequency resource from the pre-allocated sidelink resources for the remote WTRU to communicate with the relay WTRU. 20. The method of claim 11 , wherein the second time pattern is determined based further on an indication received from the network device.
