A process for making a container includes the step of providing at least one of a slider, sticker, textured surface, pattern, or embossed surface along a folded web of thermoplastic material that comprises a plurality of container templates. The process also includes the step of picking up, with a turner, each container template. The turner includes one or more rotator assemblies that include a rotatable shaft and a bag-contacting surface connected to an end of the rotatable shaft. The bag-contacting surface is configured to engage a top exterior side of each container template. Additionally, the process includes the step of reorienting, with the turner, each container template. The rotatable shaft is configured to horizontally translate and rotate each container template.

We claim: 1. A process for making a container, comprising: providing at least one of a slider, sticker, textured surface, pattern, or embossed surface along a folded web of thermoplastic material that comprises a plurality of container templates, each container template having a first opposing wall and a second opposing wall, a seam defined by a junction of the first opposing wall and the second opposing wall, opposing first and second upper ends of the first and second walls, respectively, defined opposite the seam, and a first side and a second side defined between the seam and the opposing first and second upper ends; fixing each container template in place relative to a first conveyor; carrying each container template along the first conveyor in a first direction of travel, the first and second sides of each container template perpendicular to the first direction of travel; picking up, with a turner, each container template, the turner including one or more rotator assemblies including a rotatable shaft and a bag-contacting surface connected to an end of the rotatable shaft, the bag-contacting surface being configured to engage a top exterior side of each container template; reorienting, with the turner, each container template, the rotatable shaft being configured to horizontally translate and rotate each container template, wherein each container template remains horizontal during translation and rotation; depositing each reoriented container template along a second conveyor; and carrying each reoriented container template along the second conveyor in a second direction of travel, the first and second sides of each container template parallel to the second direction of travel. 2. The process of claim 1 , wherein providing at least one of a slider, sticker, textured surface, pattern, or embossed surface includes extruding interfacing zipper profiles from the folded web of thermoplastic material, the interfacing zipper profiles provided adjacent the opposing first and second upper ends. 3. The process of claim 1 , wherein providing at least one of a slider, sticker, textured surface, pattern, or embossed surface includes fixedly coupling interfacing zipper profiles to the folded web of thermoplastic material adjacent the first and second upper ends. 4. The process of claim 1 , further comprising cutting the folded web of thermoplastic material in a direction transverse to a first direction of travel of the folded web into the plurality of container templates. 5. The process of claim 4 , wherein rotating each container template results in the first and the second side being oriented along a second direction of travel. 6. The process of claim 5 , wherein the first direction of travel is defined by a first conveyor and the second direction of travel is defined by a second conveyor. 7. The process of claim 1 , further comprising sealing one or both of the first side and the second side with a sealer. 8. The process of claim 7 , wherein the sealer applies at least one of direct conducting heat, convective heat, ultrasonic sealing, laser or other radiation-based sealing, or an adhesive to one or both of the first side and the second side. 9. The process of claim 8 , wherein the step of sealing joins a portion of the first side to the second side, and wherein at least one of a shaping or detailing of the first side and the second side is concurrently performed. 10. A process for making a container, comprising: providing at least one of a slider, sticker, textured surface, pattern, or embossed surface along a first half-web and a second half-web of thermoplastic material that together comprise a plurality of container templates, each container template having a first opposing wall and a second opposing wall, a seam defined by a junction of the first opposing wall and the second opposing wall, opposing first and second upper ends of the first and second walls, respectively, defined opposite the seam, and a first side and a second side defined between the seam and the opposing first and second upper ends; picking up, with a turner, each container template in a horizontal orientation, the turner including one or more rotator assemblies including a rotatable shaft and a bag-contacting surface connected to an end of the rotatable shaft, the bag-contacting surface being configured to engage a top exterior side of each container template; reorienting in a horizontal plane, with the turner, each container template, the rotatable shaft being configured to horizontally translate and rotate each container template, wherein each container template remains horizontal during translation and rotation; and depositing each container template in the horizontal orientation so that the first and second sides of each container template are parallel to a direction of travel of the container template. 11. The process of claim 10 , further comprising cutting the first half-web and the second half-web of thermoplastic material in a direction transverse to a first direction of travel of the first half-web and the second half-web into the plurality of container templates. 12. The process of claim 10 , further comprising sealing one or both of the first side and the second side with a sealer.
