We claim: 1. A dental model, comprising (a) an upper segment, said upper segment having a shape corresponding to at least a portion of a dental arch of a human patient; (b) a base segment having an external surface and a bottom surface; (c) at least one internal cavity formed in said base segment, said at least one internal cavity extending through said bottom surface; and (d) at least one wash channel extending from said external surface of said base segment through said base segment and into said at least one internal cavity, wherein said at least one wash channel is spaced away from said bottom surface. 2. The dental model of claim 1 , wherein said at least one wash channel comprises a plurality of wash channels. 3. The dental model of claim 1 , wherein said bottom surface is substantially flat and planar. 4. The dental model of claim 1 , further comprising: (e) an additive manufacturing apparatus carrier platform to which said bottom surface of said dental model is adhered. 5. A dental model, comprising (a) an upper segment, said upper segment having a shape corresponding to at least a portion of a dental arch of a human patient; (b) a base segment having an external surface and a bottom surface; (c) at least one internal cavity formed in said base segment, said at least one internal cavity extending through said bottom surface; and (d) at least one wash channel extending from said external surface of said base segment through said base segment and into said at least one internal cavity, wherein said at least one wash channel comprises a plurality of intersecting wash channels. 6. The dental model of claim 5 , wherein said plurality of wash channels are defined in said bottom surface. 7. The dental model of claim 5 , wherein said plurality of wash channels are spaced apart from said bottom surface and extend through an intermediate portion of said base segment.
