The invention claimed is: 1. A method of improving physical performance, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising a urolithin and a source of protein; wherein the physical performance is walking or running. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject's performance in the six-minute walk test (MWT) is improved. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject's time to walk a certain distance (gait speed) is improved. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject's time to run a certain distance (running speed) is improved. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject's running economy is improved. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject's International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) score is improved. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the subject's number of chair-stands in a certain time is increased. 8. A method of improving muscle function, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising a urolithin and a source of protein; wherein the muscle function is muscle endurance. 9. The method of claim 8 , wherein the subject's muscular contraction strength is increased. 10. The method of claim 8 , wherein the subject's amplitude of muscle contracting is increased. 11. The method of claim 8 , wherein subject's muscle reaction time between stimulation and contraction is shortened. 12. The method of claim 8 , wherein the subject's upper body and/or lower body muscle endurance is improved. 13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the subject's hand grip strength is improved. 14. The method of claim 8 , wherein the subject's skeletal muscle respiratory capacity is increased. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the subject's maximal oxygen consumption (VO 2 max ) is increased. 16. The method of claim 8 , wherein the subject's muscle mass is increased. 17. The method of claim 8 , wherein the subject's muscle stem cell regenerative ability is improved. 18. A method of improving physical performance, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising urolithin A and a source of protein. 19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the physical performance is walking or running. 20. A method of improving muscle function, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising urolithin A and a source of protein. 21. The method of claim 20 , wherein the muscle function is muscle endurance.
