The present invention features compounds useful in the treatment of neurological disorders. The compounds of the invention, alone or in combination with other pharmaceutically active agents, can be used for treating or preventing neurological disorders.

What is claimed is: 1. A compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, having the structure of any one of the following compounds: # Structure 1241 1238 1237 1236 1232 1231 1228 1227 1226 1225 1110 1111 2. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, of claim 1 , and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. 3. A method of alleviating the symptoms associated with a neurological disorder in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, of claim 1 . 4. A method of inhibiting toxicity in a cell related to a protein, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, of claim 1 . 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the toxicity is α-synuclein -related toxicity. 6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the toxicity is ApoE4-related toxicity. 7. The method of claim 4 , wherein the cell is a mammalian neural cell. 8. A method of alleviating the symptoms associated with a stearoyl-CoA desaturase (SCD)-associated disorder in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering an effective amount of a compound, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, of claim 1 .
