The invention claimed is: 1. A method, comprising: first defining a longitudinal channel in a major body, the major body including a first portion, a second portion and a flange, the flange being located between the first portion and the second portion, the longitudinal channel traversing through a longitudinal length of the major body from the first portion through the second portion, the first portion including a shaft with annular sidewalls that are directly connected to the flange; and second defining at least one first portion of a first aperture within a first side end of the flange, the first aperture being in fluid communication with the longitudinal channel; and third defining an outer shelf on the major body, the outer shelf extending between a first external surface of the flange and the shaft, the outer shelf facing the first portion, the annular sidewalls being perpendicular to the outer shelf. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first side end faces the second portion. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first side end faces the first portion. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second defining further defines the at least one first portion of the first aperture within a first external surface of the flange. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the first external surface constitutes a section of the major body, along the longitudinal length of the major body, that has a largest external diameter of the major body. 6. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: fourth defining a plurality of grooves along at least part of a longitudinal length of a second external surface of the second portion. 7. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second defining further includes fourth defining at least one second portion of at least one second aperture within the first side end of the flange, the first aperture and the at least one second aperture being radially spaced apart evenly along a circumference of the flange. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the second defining and the fourth defining respectively define the at least one first portion and the at least one second portion to traverse through a first external surface of the flange. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein a first diameter of the first portion is smaller than a second diameter of the second portion, and a third diameter of the flange is larger than the second diameter. 10. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second portion has a first end and a second end, the first end being directly connected to the flange, and the second end being beveled. 11. The method of claim 1 , wherein the major body is a connector for an e-vaping device. 12. The method of claim 11 , further comprising: connecting a first section of an e-vaping device to a second section of the e-vaping device using the connector. 13. The method of claim 12 , wherein the connecting further includes forming a portion of an outer surface of the e-vaping device with a first external surface of the flange, once the first section is connected to the second section via the connector. 14. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: fourth defining an inner shelf along an interior circumferential surface of the shaft, wherein the second defining defines at least one second portion of the first aperture along a portion of a first surface of the inner shelf, the first surface being in a same plane as a first side end of the flange. 15. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: fourth defining an inner shelf along an interior circumferential surface of the shaft, wherein the second defining defines at least one second portion of the first aperture along a portion of a first surface of the inner shelf, the first surface facing the first portion. 16. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second defining defines at least one second portion of the first aperture in the second portion. 17. The method of claim 16 , further comprising: fourth defining an inner shelf along an interior circumferential surface of the major body, wherein the second defining defines at least one third portion of the first aperture along a portion of a first surface of the inner shelf. 18. A method, comprising: first defining a longitudinal channel in a major body, the major body including a first portion, a second portion and a flange, the flange being located between the first portion and the second portion, the longitudinal channel traversing through a longitudinal length of the major body from the first portion through the second portion, the first portion including a shaft, the major body being a connector for an e-vaping device; second defining at least one first portion of a first aperture within a first side end of the flange, the first aperture being in fluid communication with the longitudinal channel; and connecting a first section of an e-vaping device to a second section of the e-vaping device using the connector, the first section including a battery section and the second section includes a cartridge. 19. The method of claim 18 , wherein the connecting connects the second portion to the first section and the first portion to the second section in order to define an airflow path that enters the longitudinal channel through the first aperture and flows through the first portion while the e-vaping device is in operational use. 20. A method, comprising: first defining a longitudinal channel in a major body, the major body including a first portion, a second portion and a flange, the flange being located between the first portion and the second portion, the longitudinal channel traversing through a longitudinal length of the major body from the first portion through the second portion, the first portion including a shaft with annular sidewalls that are directly connected to the flange, the major body being a connector; second defining at least one first portion of a first aperture within a first side end of the flange, the first aperture being in fluid communication with the longitudinal channel; and defining an airflow path by connecting a first section to a second section using the connector, the airflow path being configured to allow ambient air to enter the longitudinal channel through the first aperture and flow through the first portion.
