A light emitting device includes a package, a cap fixed to the package, and at least one laser element. The cap includes a light-transmissive member having a lower surface facing the package and an upper surface opposite to the lower surface, and a light blocking film arranged on the lower surface of the light-transmissive member and having a shape which has at least one opening. The at least one laser element is disposed in a space bounded by the cap and the package at a position such that the at least one opening is irradiated by laser light emitted from the at least one laser element, at least a part of each of the at least one laser element being disposed in the at least one opening in the light blocking film in a top view.

What is claimed is: 1. A light emitting device comprising: a package including a main body and a metal film provided on a surface of the main body; a cap fixed to the package, and the cap including a light-transmissive member having a lower surface facing the package and an upper surface opposite to the lower surface, and a light blocking film arranged on the lower surface of the light-transmissive member and having a shape which has at least one opening; a joining member joining a part of the light blocking film and the metal film; and at least one laser element disposed in a space bounded by the cap and the package at a position such that the at least one opening is irradiated by laser light emitted from the at least one laser element, at least a part of each of the at least one laser element being disposed in the at least one opening in the light blocking film in a top view. 2. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one laser element has a laser element which has a light emitting end surface that is disposed in one of the at least one opening in the light blocking film in the top view and a light reflecting end surface that overlaps the light blocking film in the top view. 3. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , further comprising at least one light reflector having a light reflecting surface reflecting the laser light from the at least one laser element toward the at least one opening in the light blocking film. 4. The light emitting device according to claim 3 , wherein the at least one light reflector has a first light reflector having a first light reflecting surface, and all area of the first light reflecting surface is disposed in one of the at least one opening in the light blocking film in the top view. 5. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one opening in the light blocking film is provided in a size and at a position such that all of a main part of the laser light from the at least one laser element passes in the at least one opening and the main part of the laser light is a region of the laser light having an intensity of 1/e 2 or more with respect to a peak intensity value of the laser light. 6. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the light blocking film extends to an outer edge of the light-transmissive member or to the vicinity of the outer edge of the light-transmissive member. 7. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the joining member is a metal adhesive. 8. The light emitting device according to claim 1 , wherein the metal film of the package is a first metal film, and the light blocking film is a second metal film. 9. A light emitting device comprising: a package including a main body and a metal film provided on a surface of the main body; a cap fixed to the package, and the cap including a light-transmissive member having a lower surface facing the package and an upper surface opposite to the lower surface and a light blocking film arranged on the lower surface of the light-transmissive member and having a shape which has at least one opening; a joining member joining a part of the light blocking film and the metal film; and a plurality of laser elements disposed in a space bounded by the cap and the package at a position such that the at least one opening is irradiated by laser light emitted from the plurality of laser elements, the plurality of laser elements including a blue laser element configured to emit blue laser light, a green laser element configured to emit green laser light, and a red laser element configured to emit red laser light. 10. The light emitting device according to claim 9 , wherein the light blocking film extends to an outer edge of the light-transmissive member or to the vicinity of the outer edge of the light-transmissive member. 11. The light emitting device according to claim 9 , wherein the joining member is a metal adhesive. 12. The light emitting device according to claim 9 , wherein the metal film of the package is a first metal film, and the light blocking film is a second metal film.
