A method and system for daisy chaining tournament audio controllers, where the method comprises, in a headset coupled to a first audio controller, the first audio controller being in a daisy chain of audio controllers: receiving a chat signal from a second audio controller in the daisy chain of audio controllers, receiving a microphone signal from a microphone in the headset, summing the chat signal with the microphone signal, communicating the summed signal to a third audio controllers in the daisy chain, and communicating the chat signal to the headset. The microphone signal may be removed from the summed chat signal and microphone signal by adding a second microphone signal 180 degrees out of phase with the microphone signal. The chat signal may be summed with the microphone signal at an amplitude set by a user of the headset after the removal of the microphone signal.

What is claimed is: 1. A system, the system comprising: a primary audio device comprising a microphone and a speaker, wherein the primary audio device is configured to operate in a series with one or more auxiliary audio devices to: generate a first chat signal by summing a second chat signal with a microphone signal from the microphone; receive the second chat signal from a first auxiliary audio device of the one or more auxiliary audio devices; transmit the first chat signal to the first auxiliary audio device, when the primary audio device is at an end of the series; and transfer a third chat signal from a second auxiliary audio device, of the one or more auxiliary audio devices, to the first auxiliary audio device, when the primary audio device is not at an end of the series. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the primary audio device is operable to remove the microphone signal from the first chat signal by subtracting the microphone signal. 3. The system of claim 1 , the primary audio device is operable to sum the second chat signal with the microphone signal at an amplitude set by the primary audio device to generate a scaled chat signal. 4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the primary audio device is operable to communicate the scaled chat signal. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein the primary audio device comprise a chat loop switch coupled to two summers, each of which is coupled to a separate terminal of the microphone. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein the primary audio device is operable to sum a signal from a gaming console with the first chat signal. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more auxiliary audio devices are each operably coupled to the primary audio device. 8. The system of claim 7 , wherein the first chat signal comprises audio from each audio device in the series. 9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the microphone signal is a balanced signal. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the primary audio device is operable to convert the second chat signal from a differential signal to a single-ended signal while being summed with the microphone signal. 11. A method for processing audio signals, the method comprising: in a primary audio device in a series with one or more auxiliary audio devices: generating a first chat signal by summing a second chat signal with a microphone signal; receiving the second chat signal from a first auxiliary audio device of the one or more auxiliary audio devices; communicating a third chat signal from a second auxiliary audio device, of the one or more auxiliary audio devices, to the first auxiliary audio device, if the primary audio device is not at an end of the series; and communicating the first chat signal to the first auxiliary audio device, if the primary audio device is at an end of the series. 12. The method of claim 11 , comprising removing the microphone signal from the first chat signal by adding a second microphone signal 180 degrees out of phase with the microphone signal. 13. The method of claim 12 , comprising summing the first chat signal with the microphone signal, at an amplitude set by the primary audio device, to generate a scaled chat signal. 14. The method of claim 13 , comprising communicating the scaled chat signal. 15. The method of claim 11 , wherein the primary audio device comprises a chat loop switch coupled to two summers, each of which is coupled to a separate terminal of a microphone. 16. The method of claim 11 , comprising summing a signal from a gaming console with the first chat signal. 17. The method of claim 11 , wherein the one or more auxiliary audio devices are each operably coupled to the first audio device. 18. The method of claim 17 , wherein the first chat signal comprises audio from each of the auxiliary audio devices the series. 19. The method of claim 11 , wherein the microphone signal is a balanced signal. 20. The method of claim 11 , comprising converting the second chat signal from a differential signal to a single-ended signal while being summed with the microphone signal.
