An improved roller shade system provides increased support, additional adjustments and/or increased safety. The slip plate allows the brake to slip forward and minimize damage to the clutch spring when a user pulls too hard on the hembar. The center drive mechanism extends through a bracket to allow the drive shaft to distribute power in both directions and drive two shade tube simultaneously. The tube adapter absorbs force from the spinning shade tube to minimize damage to the other components and the bead chain. The sprocket has a back wall supporting the sprocket, allowing the sprocket 130 to rest on the back flange of the sun gear to minimize pressure on the gears. An adjustment arm is adjusted to help level the shade band. The shade bands may be removed without disturbing the other shade bands in the system. A height of a hembar may be adjusted by rotating a rod within the hembar.

We claim: 1. A window shade system comprising: shade fabric with a first portion and a second portion; a rod that is configured to include the second portion of the shade fabric rolled around the rod; and a hembar that receives the rod within a compartment at a top of the hembar, wherein the compartment includes a first shelf with a curved surface and a second shelf with a curved surface, and wherein the rod and the second portion of the shade fabric rolled around the rod are supported between the first shelf and the second shelf. 2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the compartment includes an opening such that at least a portion of the shade fabric rolled around the rod is exposed to an outside of the hembar. 3. The system of claim 1 , further comprising: at least one of a support connector or a first shade band coupled to the first portion of the shade fabric; an adjustment arm having a first arm portion, a middle arm portion and a second arm portion, wherein the middle arm portion of the adjustment arm engages at least one of the support connector or the first shade band; and an adjustment screw engaging a first arm portion of the adjustment arm, wherein in response to turning the adjustment screw, the adjustment arm is configured to rotate and adjust at least one of the support connector or the first shade band. 4. The system of claim 1 , wherein a first end of the hembar is open and exposes a first end of the rod. 5. The system of claim 1 , wherein a first end of the hembar is configured to allow removable access by a tool. 6. The system of claim 1 , wherein a first end of the hembar is configured to allow a tool to be removably inserted into the hembar and interface with a head on a first end of the rod. 7. The system of claim 1 , wherein the rod is configured to rotate, in response to a rotation of a tool when interfacing with a head on a first end of the rod, such that that rotating of the rod adjusts a position of the hembar relative to the fabric. 8. The system of claim 1 , wherein the rod is rigidly fixed inside the hembar. 9. The system of claim 1 , wherein the rod includes a head that is configured to be turned. 10. The system of claim 1 , wherein the rod includes at least one of a hex head that is configured to be turned with a hex key, a channel that is configured to be turned with a flat head screw driver, or a cross-hair that is configured to be turned with a screw driver having a head that is shaped like a fared cross with a rounded point. 11. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first portion of the shade fabric is wrapped around a first shade band that is driven by a drive mechanism, and wherein the drive mechanism is engaged by a slip plate, wherein the drive mechanism rotates forward in response to the slip plate disengaging from the drive mechanism. 12. The system of claim 11 , further comprising: a bracket having a first side and a second side; a drive shaft having a first portion that extends from the first side of the bracket and a second portion that extends from the second side of the bracket; the drive mechanism received by the drive shaft; a chain around a sprocket of the drive mechanism; a first shade band supporting the first portion of the shade fabric and engaged with the first portion of the drive shaft; and a second shade band engaged with the second portion of the drive shaft. 13. The system of claim 12 , wherein the first portion of the drive shaft controls a first drive hub that rotates the first shade band and the second portion of the drive shaft controls a second drive hub that rotates the second shade band. 14. The system of claim 12 , wherein in response to the chain being pulled, rotational force is transferred to the first shade band on the first side of the bracket and to the second shade band on the second side of the bracket. 15. The system of claim 12 , wherein the sprocket drives in parallel the first shade band and the second shade band. 16. The system of claim 1 , further comprising a first shade band supporting the first portion of the shade fabric and a lock, wherein the lock is configured to restrict the first shade band from unrolling. 17. The system of claim 16 , wherein the lock includes a first opening that allows rotation of the first shade band and a second opening that restricts rotation of the first shade band. 18. The system of claim 16 , wherein the lock is a slide lock. 19. The system of claim 1 , wherein the first shade band includes a first support connector, wherein the first support connector is configured to retract to allow removal of the first shade band.
