The invention claimed is: 1. An air suspension strut for a motor vehicle, comprising: an air spring with a shock damper for the springing and damping of oscillations of a motor vehicle chassis, the air spring comprises an air spring cover and a rolling piston; a rolling bellows of elastomer material is clamped in an airtight manner between the air spring cover and the rolling piston; the air spring cover comprises a damper bearing receptacle having a base and receiving a damper bearing of the shock damper; the air spring cover comprises a clamping base to which a first end of the rolling bellows is attached; and the air spring cover is manufactured from a plastic material and comprises a reinforcing core in order to increase the strength of the damper bearing receptacle, wherein the reinforcing core is an annular support disc arranged in the base of the damper bearing receptacle and at least partially surrounded by the plastic material of the air spring cover; and wherein the air spring cover comprises a plurality of receiving devices and a plurality of fastenings for attaching the air suspension strut to the motor vehicle, wherein one of the fasteners is at least partially engaged in a respective one of the receiving devices. 2. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the reinforcing core on the top and bottom is at least partially surrounded by the plastic material of the air spring cover. 3. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the reinforcing core is made of a metallic material or ceramic, or a plastic material. 4. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 3 , wherein the plastic material of the reinforcing core is a thermoplastic or duroplastic material. 5. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the material of the reinforcing core has a higher modulus of elasticity than the plastic material of the air spring cover. 6. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the reinforcing core has a central passage bore for the piston rod of the shock damper. 7. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the reinforcing core comprises eccentric bores. 8. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the damper bearing receptacle has a wall made from the plastic material of the air spring cover and is not reinforced by an element. 9. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the plastic material of the air spring cover is a thermoplastic or duroplastic material. 10. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the air spring cover is produced in one piece and completely from the plastic material. 11. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the air spring cover is of multipart configuration, at least comprising a first cover part which comprises the damper bearing receptacle, and a second cover part which comprises the clamping base, wherein at least the first cover part is produced from the plastic material. 12. The air suspension strut as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the second cover part is made from a thermoplastic or duroplastic material or a metallic material.
