Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present specification relates to a wireless power receiving device, receiving method, and receiving system, the device comprising individual rectifiers for each receiving coil, wherein the individual rectifiers comprise isolators for isolating a receiving coil for PC0 from a receiving coil for PC1.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A wireless power receiver comprising: a plurality of power pick-ups configured to receive wireless power from a wireless power transmitter; and a communicator/controller configured to control the wireless power, wherein the wireless power receiver supports an in-band communication and an out-band communication, wherein the wireless power receiver: performs a ping phase, performs a configuration phase after the ping phase, and identifies whether a first power class is used for receiving the wireless power or a second power class is used for receiving the wireless power, wherein, based on the wireless power receiver identifying that the first power class is used, the wireless power receiver performs a first negotiation phase or a first power transfer phase based on a protocol of the in-band communication, and wherein, based on the wireless power receiver identifying that the second power class is used, the wireless power receiver handovers from the in-band communication to the out-band communication and performs a second negotiation phase or a second power transfer phase based on a protocol of the out-band communication, and wherein the plurality of power pick-ups comprises a first power pick-up configured to receive the wireless power based on the first power class and a second power pick-up configured to receive the wireless power based on the second power class. 2. The wireless power receiver of claim 1 , wherein the first power class is a power class 0, and wherein the second power class is a power class 1. 3. The wireless power receiver of claim 2 , wherein a first power is supported in the first power class, wherein a second power is supported in the second power class, and wherein the second power is higher than the first power. 4. The wireless power receiver of claim 1 , wherein, based on determining that the wireless power receiver receives the wireless power based on the second power class, the wireless power receiver performs a handover from the in-band communication to the out-band communication. 5. The wireless power receiver of claim 1 , wherein the out-band communication is a BLUETOOTH low energy (BLE) communication or a near field communication (NFC) communication. 6. A method for receiving wireless power from a wireless power transmitter, the method performed by a wireless power receiver, which supports an in-band communication and an out-band communication and comprises a plurality of power pick-ups, and comprising: performing a ping phase; performing a configuration phase after the ping phase; and identifying whether a first power class is used for receiving the wireless power or a second power class is used for receiving the wireless power, wherein, based on the wireless power receiver identifying that the first power class is used, the wireless power receiver performs a first negotiation phase or a first power transfer phase based on a protocol of the in-band communication, and wherein, based on the wireless power receiver identifying that the second power class is used, the wireless power receiver handovers from the in-band communication to the out-band communication and performs a second negotiation phase or a second power transfer phase based on a protocol of the out-band communication, and wherein the plurality of power pick-ups comprises a first power pick-up configured to receive the wireless power based on the first power class and a second power pick-up configured to receive the wireless power based on the second power class.
