Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission between a contactless card and a receiving application are provided. The transmitting device may include a processor, memory, and communication interface. A receiving application may include instructions for execution on a receiving device having a processor, a memory, a communication interface configured to create a communication field for data communication with the transmitting device, and one or more sensors. Upon movement of the transmitting device, the receiving application is configured to receive, via one or more sensors, feedback information associated with the transmitting device, display one or more instructions regarding the position of the transmitting device relative to the receiving device until the transmitting device enters the communication field. Upon entry into the communication field, the transmitting device is configured to transmit data to the receiving device.

What is claimed is: 1. A method for establishing data transmission, the method comprising the steps of: presenting, by a receiving application comprising instructions for execution on a receiving device, a guidance instruction on the receiving device regarding at least one selected from the group of a position of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device; updating, by the receiving application, the guidance instruction based on the at least one selected from the group of a position of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device; and cease presenting, by the receiving application, the guidance instruction after the transmitting device enters a communication field. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the guidance instruction comprises a targeting box for positioning the transmitting device. 3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the targeting box visually indicates a boundary for placement of an edge of the transmitting device. 4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving, by the receiving application, feedback information associated with the transmitting device, wherein the receiving application dynamically generates the guidance instruction in response to the feedback information. 5. The method of claim 4 , wherein: the guidance instructions comprise a signal strength indicator, and the signal strength indicator is based on the feedback information. 6. The method of claim 4 , wherein the receiving application continues receiving feedback information after the transmitting device enters the communication field. 7. The method of claim 6 , wherein the receiving application resumes presenting the guidance instruction after the transmitting device exits the communication field. 8. The method of claim 1 , wherein the guidance instructions comprises at least one selected from the group of textual guidance, audible guidance, and haptic guidance. 9. The method of claim 1 , wherein the transmitting device comprises a contactless card. 10. A data transmission system, comprising: a receiving application comprising instructions for execution on a receiving device including a processor, a memory, wherein, the receiving application: presents a guidance instruction on the receiving device regarding at least one selected from the group of a position of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device, updates the guidance instruction based on the at least one selected from the group of a position of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device, and ceases presenting the guidance instruction after the transmitting device enters a communication field. 11. The data transmission system of claim 10 , wherein: the receiving device includes a sensor, and the receiving application: receives, via one or more sensors, feedback information associated with the transmitting device, and presents one or more instructions regarding at least one selected from the group of a position of the transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of the transmitting device relative to the receiving device. 12. The data transmission system of claim 11 , wherein the feedback information comprises data related to movement of the transmitting device. 13. The data transmission system of claim 10 , wherein: the receiving device further includes a communication interface configured to create a communication field, and the receiving application generates the communication field. 14. The data transmission system of claim 10 , wherein the guidance instruction comprises a targeting box for positioning the transmitting device. 15. The data transmission system of claim 10 , wherein the targeting box visually indicates a boundary for placement of all edges of the transmitting device. 16. The data transmission system of claim 15 , wherein the boundary comprises a visual indication of two parallel edges of the transmitting device. 17. A computer-accessible medium storing computer executable instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform procedures comprising: presenting a guidance instruction on a receiving device regarding at least one selected from the group of a position of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device; updating the guidance instruction based on the at least one selected from the group of a position of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device and an orientation of a transmitting device relative to the receiving device; and cease presenting the guidance instruction after the transmitting device enters a communication field. 18. The computer-accessible medium of claim 17 , wherein the procedures further comprise further comprise displaying a soft button upon entry of the transmitting device into a communication field. 19. The computer-accessible medium of claim 18 , wherein the procedures further comprise, responsive to a click of the soft button, activating the transmitting device. 20. The data transmission system of claim 11 , wherein the receiving application: stores, in the memory, an ideal alignment between the transmitting device and the receiving device, and presents the one or more instructions based on the ideal alignment.
