The invention claimed is: 1. A stent comprising: a cobalt-based alloy, wherein the cobalt-based alloy is free of nickel (Ni), the cobalt-based alloy consisting of: 10-65 weight % metal member selected from, the group consisting of silver, gold, hafnium, niobium, rhenium, tantalum, zirconium, platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, osmium, iridium and combinations thereof; 15-25 weight % chromium (Cr); 4-7 weight % molybdenum (Mo); 0-18 weight % iron (Fe); 22-40 weight % cobalt (Co); and 0-2 weight % of manganese. 2. The stent of claim 1 , wherein the stent has a minimum ultimate tensile strength of 125 ksi. 3. The stent of claim 1 , wherein the stent has a minimum yield strength of 45 ksi. 4. The stent of claim 1 , wherein the stent has a minimum total elongation of 30%. 5. The stent of claim 1 , wherein the metal member is selected from the group consisting of silver, gold, hafnium, niobium, rhenium, tantalum, zirconium, and combinations thereof. 6. The stent of claim 1 , wherein the metal member is selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, osmium, iridium, and combinations thereof. 7. A stent comprising: a cobalt-based alloy, wherein the cobalt-based alloy is free of nickel (Ni), the cobalt-based alloy consisting of: 10-60 weight % metal member selected from the group consisting of silver, gold, hafnium, niobium, rhenium, tantalum, zirconium and combinations thereof; 10-25 weight % chromium (Cr); 18-55 weight % cobalt (Co); 0-3 weight % iron (Fe); 0-3 weight % manganese (Mn); 0-10 weight % molybdenum (Mo); and optionally, one or more trace elements selected from the group consisting of beryllium, boron, carbon, phosphorus, silicon, sulfur, and titanium. 8. The stent of claim 7 , wherein the refractor-metal member is 10-45 weight %. 9. The stent of claim 7 , wherein the beryllium, the boron, or the carbon are in lower concentration than L-605 standard permits. 10. A stent comprising: a cobalt-based alloy, wherein the cobalt-based alloy is free of nickel (Ni), the cobalt-based alloy consisting of: 10-65 weight % metal member selected from the group consisting of platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, osmium, iridium and combinations thereof; 10-25 weight % chromium (Cr); 18-50 weight % cobalt (Co); 10-about 15 weight % tungsten (W); 0-about 2 weight % manganese (Mn); and 0-about 3 weight % iron (Fe). 11. The stent of claim 10 , wherein the metal member comprises at least one of platinum, or palladium. 12. A stent comprising: a cobalt-based alloy, wherein the cobalt-based alloy is free of nickel (Ni), the cobalt-based alloy comprising: 10-65 weight % metal member selected from the group consisting of silver, gold, hafnium, niobium, rhenium, tantalum, zirconium, platinum, palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, osmium, iridium, and combinations thereof; 15-25 weight % chromium (Cr); 4-7 weight % molybdenum (Mo); 0-18 weight % iron (Fe); 22-40 weight % cobalt (Co); and 0-2 weight % of manganese; wherein the alloy has a single-phase microstructure.
