Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A display device includes an organic light emitting display panel defining a display area for displaying an image and a non-display area adjacent the display area, and including a base layer, a circuit layer on the base layer, a light emitting device layer on the circuit layer, and a thin film sealing layer on the light emitting device layer and divided into a first thin film sealing area, and a second thin film sealing area adjacent the first thin film sealing area, and a touch detection unit including a first sensor part on the first thin film sealing area of the thin film sealing layer, and a second sensor part on the second thin film sealing area of the thin film sealing layer, wherein an upper surface of the thin film sealing layer that faces the touch detection unit includes a first upper surface in the first thin film sealing area, and a second upper surface in the second thin film sealing area and protruding away from the base layer.

What is claimed is: 1. A display device comprising: a display panel comprising a base layer, a circuit layer on the base layer, a light emitting layer on the circuit layer, and a thin film sealing layer on the light emitting layer and comprising a first inorganic layer, an organic layer on the first inorganic layer, and a second inorganic layer on the organic layer; and a sensor directly on the display panel and comprising a first touch pattern and a second touch pattern spaced from the first touch pattern, wherein a first gap between a first portion of the first touch pattern and the base layer is smaller than a second gap between the second touch pattern and the base layer. 2. The display device of claim 1 , wherein a third gap between a second portion of the first touch pattern and the base layer is greater than the second gap between the second touch pattern and the base layer. 3. The display device of claim 1 , wherein gaps between points of the second touch pattern and the base layer are substantially the same as each other. 4. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the thin film sealing layer further comprises a peak protruding from the base layer, and the peak overlaps the first touch pattern. 5. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the display panel includes a display area in which pixels are located and a non-display area adjacent to the display area, and wherein the first touch pattern and the second touch pattern overlap the display area. 6. The display device of claim 5 , wherein the second touch pattern is spaced from the non-display area further than the first touch pattern in a plan view. 7. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the thin film sealing layer includes a first upper surface overlapping the first touch pattern and a second upper surface overlapping the second touch pattern, and wherein the first upper surface is an uneven surface and the second upper surface is a flat surface. 8. The display device of claim 7 , wherein the first upper surface includes a first inclined surface extending from the second upper surface and a second inclined surface extending from the first inclined surface, and wherein the first portion of the first touch pattern overlaps the second inclined surface. 9. The display device of claim 8 , wherein a distance between a boundary between the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface and the base layer is greater than a distance between the second upper surface and the base layer. 10. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the thin film sealing layer further comprises an organic coating layer overlapping the first touch pattern and not overlapping the second touch pattern. 11. The display device of claim 10 , wherein the organic coating layer is on the second inorganic layer. 12. The display device of claim 1 , wherein an upper surface of the organic layer includes a first organic upper surface overlapping the first touch pattern and a second organic upper surface overlapping the second touch pattern, and wherein a portion of the first organic upper surface is protruded in a direction away from the base layer. 13. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first touch pattern has a curved shape. 14. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the second touch pattern has a flat shape. 15. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the first touch pattern has a non-flat shape. 16. The display device of claim 1 , wherein the thin film sealing layer further comprises a peak protruding from the base layer, and wherein the peak is between the first portion of the first touch pattern and the second touch pattern in a plan view. 17. The display device of claim 1 , wherein each of the first touch pattern and the second touch pattern has a mesh shape having openings, and wherein the first touch pattern comprises a plurality of mesh lines bent with respect to the base layer. 18. A display device comprising: a display panel comprising a base layer, a circuit layer on the base layer, a light emitting layer on the circuit layer, and a thin film sealing layer on the light emitting layer and comprising a first inorganic layer, an organic layer on the first inorganic layer, and a second inorganic layer on the organic layer; and a sensor directly on the display panel and comprising a first touch pattern and a second touch pattern spaced from the first touch pattern, wherein the first touch pattern comprises a plurality of mesh lines bent with respect to the base layer, wherein a first gap between a first mesh line among the plurality of mesh lines and the base layer is smaller than a second gap between the second touch pattern and the base layer, and wherein a third gap between a second mesh line among the plurality of mesh lines and the base layer is greater than the second gap between the second touch pattern and the base layer. 19. The display device of claim 18 , wherein the second mesh line is between the first mesh line and the second touch pattern. 20. The display device of claim 18 , wherein the thin film sealing layer further comprises a peak protruding from the base layer, and the peak is between the first mesh line of the first touch pattern and the second touch pattern in a plan view.
