An end-form fitting includes a tube and an auxiliary component disposed around the tube. One of the tube and the auxiliary component is deformed to cause the auxiliary component to engage the tube in order to militate against relative movement between the tube and the auxiliary component. The auxiliary component includes an array of surface irregularities formed therein and configured to engage an outer circumferential surface of the tube to form a corrugated joint therebetween. The auxiliary component is formed to include a radially outwardly extending orientation structure for establishing a rotational orientation of the end-form fitting when being coupled to a complimentary end-form fitting.

What is claimed is: 1. An end-form fitting comprising: a tube; and an auxiliary component disposed around the tube, wherein the auxiliary component includes an annular collar configured to surround the tube, wherein the tube includes a thickened portion disposed at a same axial position as the annular collar, and wherein one of the tube or the auxiliary component is deformed to cause the auxiliary component to engage the thickened portion of the tube, wherein the tube is initially provided as an elongate cylindrical structure defined by a circumferential wall, wherein the thickened portion includes a greater radial thickness than remaining portions of the circumferential wall disposed adjacent the thickened portion, wherein an inner circumferential surface of the auxiliary component includes an array of surface irregularities configured to engage the tube, and wherein the surface irregularities are provided as an annular array of radially outwardly extending indentations formed in the inner circumferential surface of the auxiliary component. 2. The end-form fitting according to claim 1 , wherein the auxiliary component includes an orientation structure. 3. The end-form fitting of claim 2 , wherein the orientation structure projects radially outwardly from the annular collar. 4. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein a corrugated joint is present wherein the auxiliary component engages the tube. 5. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein the tube is deformed radially outwardly to engage the surface irregularites. 6. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein the auxiliary component is deformed radially inwardly to cause the surface irregularites to engage an outer circumferential surface of the tube. 7. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein a locking groove is formed between the annular collar of the auxiliary component and a radially outwardly flanged portion of the tube. 8. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein the auxiliary component includes a flanged portion spaced axially from the collar and a locking groove formed between the collar and the flanged portion. 9. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein when the one of the tube or the auxiliary component is deformed, a frictional connection is formed between the tube and the auxiliary component for affixing the auxiliary component to the tube. 10. The end-form fitting of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of splines is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the auxiliary component. 11. A method of manufacturing an end-form fitting comprising the steps of: positioning an annular auxiliary component around a thickened portion of a tube; and deforming one of the tube or the auxiliary component to cause the auxiliary component to engage the thickened portion of the tube, wherein the tube is initially provided as an elongate cylindrical structure defined by a circumferential wall, wherein the thickened portion includes a greater radial thickness than remaining portions of the circumferential wall disposed adjacent the thickened portion, wherein an inner circumferential surface of the auxiliary component includes an array of surface irregularities configured to engage the tube during the deforming step, and wherein the surface irregularities are provided as an annular array of radially outwardly extending indentations formed in the inner circumferential surface of the auxiliary component. 12. The method of claim 11 , wherein the deforming step includes expanding the tube radially outwardly towards the auxiliary component. 13. The method of claim 11 , wherein the deforming step includes compressing the auxiliary component radially inwardly towards the tube. 14. The method of claim 11 , further comprising a step of forming a radially outwardly flanged portion in the tube prior to the positioning of the auxiliary component around the tube. 15. The method of claim 14 , wherein the positioning step includes moving the auxiliary component axially relative to the tube until the auxiliary component engages the radially outwardly flanged portion of the tube. 16. The method of claim 11 , further comprising a step of forming the tube to include a small diameter portion, a large diameter portion, and a transition portion having a taper to connect the small diameter portion to the large diameter portion prior to the positioning of the auxiliary component around the tube. 17. The method of claim 16 , wherein the positioning step includes moving the auxiliary component axially relative to the tube until the auxiliary component engages the transition portion of the tube. 18. The method of claim 11 , wherein the deforming step includes an outer circumferential surface of the tube being deformed into the indentations of the auxiliary component to form a corrugated joint between the auxiliary component and the tube. 19. An end-form fitting comprising: a tube; and an auxiliary component disposed around the tube, wherein the auxiliary component includes an annular collar configured to surround the tube, wherein the tube includes a thickened portion disposed at a same axial position as the annular collar, wherein one of the tube or the auxiliary component is deformed to cause the auxiliary component to engage the thickened portion of the tube, wherein the tube is initially provided as an elongate cylindrical structure defined by a circumferential wall, wherein the thickened portion includes a greater radial thickness than the remaining portions of the circumferential wall disposed adjacent the thickened portion, wherein a locking groove is formed between the annular collar of the auxiliary component and a radially outwardly flanged portion of the tube.
