The window shade pocket system may comprise a pocket having an inside surface, a first wall and a second wall, wherein a roller shade is mounted within the pocket; and a first bracket removably affixed to the inside surface of the first wall of the pocket, wherein the first bracket retains a light source. The light source may include at least one of a light bulb, light bar, light strip, LED lighting or reflective device. The light source may be LED lighting that is modular or provides different colors over the window shade fabric. The light source may include a lens. The light source may be at least one of removeable from the first bracket or rotatable within the first bracket. The light source may be at least one of between the window shade and the window, or between the room and the window shade.

The invention claimed is: 1. A shade system comprising: a shade holder above an opening; a shade tube mounted within the shade holder; a shade mounted on the shade tube; the shade is located within the shade holder, wherein the shade includes a first side facing away from the opening and a second side facing toward the opening; the shade being configured to at least partially extend outside of the shade holder; one or more light sources removably affixed directly to the shade holder below the shade tube; and the one or more light sources configured to illuminate at least a portion of the second side of the shade outside of the shade holder. 2. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source includes at least one of a light bulb, light bar, light strip, LED lighting, modular LED lighting or reflective device. 3. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source illuminates at least a space between the second side of the shade and the opening. 4. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source is LED lighting that provides different colors over the second side of the shade. 5. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source includes a lens. 6. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source includes a lens, wherein the lens is configured to at least one of focus or broaden a light beam from the light source onto the second side of the shade. 7. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein a bracket retains the light source, and wherein the light source is at least one of removeable from the bracket or rotatable within the bracket. 8. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source is mounted between the shade and the opening. 9. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source interfaces with a network connection. 10. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source interfaces with a network connection such that the light source is controlled and automated for at least one of activating, deactivating, dim level, frequency or color. 11. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the shade holder comprises at least one of a pocket or a cassette. 12. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein a bracket retains the light source, and wherein the bracket includes at least one of a cable clip, metal retaining clip with a bent end or a spring clip wherein an end of the spring clip is bent behind a lip. 13. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source is located in a bottom closure portion of the shade holder such that the light source is configured to be at least one of installed, removed or changed from below the shade holder. 14. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source is configured to rotate within an enclosure that interfaces with the shade holder. 15. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source is in an enclosure that includes an interlock that is configured to affix the light source within the enclosure and restrict an angular rotation of the light source. 16. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the shade includes a window shade, and wherein the shade holder includes a window shade holder. 17. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the shade holder includes vents comprising at least one of pre-punched holes or a punched sheet. 18. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source is configured to illuminate automatically based on at least one of a schedule, sunrise, sunset, ambient light level outside a building, ambient light level inside the building, occupancy, position of the shade, sky condition or circadian rhythm optimization for an occupant of the building. 19. The shade system of claim 1 , wherein the light source includes a plurality of light sources that are coupled to at least one of illuminate together or illuminate in zones. 20. A shade system comprising: a shade holder above an opening; a shade tube mounted within the shade holder; a shade mounted on the shade tube; the shade is located within the shade holder, wherein the shade includes a first side facing away from the opening and a second side facing toward the opening; the shade being configured to at least partially extend outside of the shade holder; and one or more light sources removably affixed directly to an attachment, wherein the attachment comprises interlocking flexible fingers that are configured to be removably affixed to an existing side wall of the shade holder below the shade tube; and the one or more light sources configured to illuminate at least a portion of at least one of the first side or the second side of the shade outside of the shade holder.
