Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A condenser bag includes a body bounding a channel that extends between an inlet opening at a first end and an outlet opening at an opposing second end, the body being comprised of a polymeric film; an intake port bounding a port opening that extends therethrough, the intake port being directly physically secured to the first end of the body so that the port opening communicates with the channel of the body; and a tubular transfer line having a first end directly mechanically coupled with the body at a first location located between the inlet opening and the outlet opening so as to communicate with the channel and an opposing second end directly mechanically coupled to the intake port so as to communicate with the port opening thereof.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A condenser bag comprising: a body bounding a channel that extends between an inlet opening at a first end and an outlet opening at an opposing second end, the body being comprised of a polymeric film; an intake port bounding a port opening that extends therethrough, the intake port being directly physically secured to the first end of the body so that the port opening communicates with the channel of the body; and a tubular transfer line having a first end directly mechanically coupled with the body at a first location located between the inlet opening and the outlet opening so as to communicate with the channel and an opposing second end directly mechanically coupled to the intake port so as to communicate with the port opening thereof. 2. The condenser bag as recited in claim 1 , wherein the transfer line does not fork as it extends between the first end and the opposing second end. 3. The condenser bag as recited in claim 1 , wherein the body comprises a first leg, a second leg, and an arm that extends between the first leg and the second leg, the first leg, second leg and arm forming a substantially U-shaped configuration with the channel passing therethrough, the intake port being directly physically secured to the first leg. 4. The condenser bag as recited in claim 3 , wherein at least a portion of the first leg extends parallel to the second leg. 5. The condenser bag as recited in claim 3 , wherein the body further comprises a third leg coupled to the second leg, the second leg and the third leg forming a substantially U-shaped configuration. 6. The condenser bag as recited in claim 5 , wherein the first end of the transfer line is coupled with the second leg or the third leg. 7. The condenser bag as recited in claim 5 , wherein the body further comprises an extension projecting from the second leg or the third leg, the extension bounding a collection pocket that communicates with the channel, the first end of the transfer line directly coupling with the extension so as to communicate with the collection pocket. 8. The condenser bag as recited in claim 1 , further comprising a pump coupled with the transfer line. 9. A condenser bag comprising: a body bounding an elongated channel that extends between a first end and an opposing second end, the body comprising a first sheet of polymeric film overlying and secured to a second sheet of polymeric film so that the elongated channel is bound between the first sheet and the second sheet; an intake port bounding a port opening that extends therethrough, the intake port being directly physically secured to the first sheet at the first end of the body so that the port opening communicates with the channel of the body; and a tubular transfer line having a first end directly mechanically coupled with the body at a first location spaced apart from the intake port so as to communicate with the channel and an opposing second end directly mechanically coupled to the second sheet at a second location, the second location being directly opposite of and in alignment with the port opening of the intake port. 10. The condenser bag as recited in claim 9 , wherein the body comprises a first leg, a second leg, and an arm that extends between the first leg and the second leg, the first leg, second leg and arm forming a substantially U-shaped configuration with the channel passing therethrough, the intake port being directly physically secured to the first leg. 11. The condenser bag as recited in claim 10 , wherein at least a portion of the first leg extends parallel to the second leg. 12. The condenser bag as recited in claim 10 , wherein the body further comprises a third leg coupled to the second leg, the second leg and the third leg forming a substantially U-shaped configuration. 13. The condenser bag as recited in claim 12 , wherein the first end of the transfer line is coupled with the second leg or the third leg. 14. The condenser bag as recited in claim 12 , wherein the body further comprises an extension projecting from the second leg or the third leg, the extension bounding a collection pocket that communicates with the channel, the first end of the transfer line directly coupling with the extension so as to communicate with the collection pocket. 15. The condenser bag as recited in claim 9 , further comprising a pump coupled with the transfer line. 16. A condenser bag comprising: a body bounding a channel that extends between an inlet opening at a first end and an outlet opening at an opposing second end, the body being comprised of a polymeric film, the body comprising a first leg, a second leg, and an arm that extends between the first leg and the second leg, the first leg, second leg and arm forming a substantially U-shaped configuration with the channel passing therethrough, the first leg bounding a first channel section forming a portion of the channel, the first channel section having a central axis extending along a length thereof; an intake port bounding a port opening that extends therethrough, the intake port being directly physically secured to the first end of the body so that the port opening communicates with the channel of the body and so that the central axis of the first channel section of the first leg passes through the port opening of the intake port; and a tubular transfer line having a first end directly mechanically coupled with the body at a first location located between the inlet opening and the outlet opening so as to communicate with the channel and an opposing second end either directly mechanically coupled to the intake port so as to communicate with the port opening thereof or directly mechanically coupled to the first leg of the body so as to communicate with the channel. 17. The condenser bag as recited in claim 16 , wherein the body further comprises a third leg coupled to the second leg, the second leg and the third leg forming a substantially U-shaped configuration. 18. The condenser bag as recited in claim 17 , wherein the first end of the transfer line is coupled with the second leg or the third leg. 19. The condenser bag as recited in claim 16 , further comprising a pump coupled with the transfer line. 20. The condenser bag as recited in claim 16 , wherein the transfer line does not fork as it extends between the first end and the opposing second end.
