A fiber optic tray system includes a tray. The tray includes a tray body, the tray body extending along a longitudinal axis between a front and a rear and extending along a lateral axis between a first side and a second side. The tray further includes a plurality of alignment rails, each of the plurality of alignment rails protruding from the tray body along a transverse axis. The tray further includes a plurality of retainer features disposed at the rear of the tray body. The fiber optic tray system further includes a fiber optic module, the fiber optic module including an outer housing and at least one retainment feature. The at least one retainment feature is interfaced with at least one of the plurality of retainer features to retain the fiber optic module on the tray.

What is claimed is: 1. An enclosure, the enclosure comprising: a plurality of trays stacked along a transverse axis, each of the plurality of trays independently moveable along a longitudinal axis, each of the plurality of trays comprising: a tray body extending along the longitudinal axis between a front and a rear and extending along a lateral axis between a first side and a second side; and a plurality of alignment rails protruding from the tray body, the plurality of alignment rails spaced apart from each other along the lateral axis; and a plurality of fiber optic modules, each of the plurality of fiber optic modules having a different width from another of the plurality of fiber optic modules, each of the plurality of fiber optic modules comprising: an outer housing extending along the longitudinal axis between a front and a rear, extending along a lateral axis between a first side and a second side, and extending along the transverse axis between a top and a bottom; and at least one alignment channel defined in the outer housing, wherein the plurality of fiber optic modules are alignable in the plurality of trays in a plurality of relative configurations, and wherein in each of the plurality of relative configurations each of the plurality of alignment channels of each of the plurality of fiber optic modules is provided on one of the plurality of alignment rails of one of the plurality of trays. 2. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the at least one alignment channel is defined in the bottom of the outer housing of each of the plurality of fiber optic modules. 3. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of trays further comprises at least one cutout defined in the tray body. 4. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the tray body of each of the plurality of trays is formed from sheet metal. 5. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of trays further comprises a plurality of fiber management features, each of the plurality of fiber management features located at the front of the tray. 6. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of trays further comprises a plurality of alignment clips. 7. The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein each of the plurality of alignment clips is aligned with one of the plurality of alignment rails. 8. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein in at least one of the plurality of relative configurations each of the plurality of alignment channels of each of the plurality of fiber optic modules is provided on one of the plurality of alignment rails of the same tray in the plurality of trays. 9. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein in at least two of the plurality of relative configurations each of the plurality of alignment channels of each of the plurality of fiber optic modules is provided on one of the plurality of alignment rails of the same tray in the plurality of trays. 10. The enclosure of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of modules includes at least one front adapter and at least one rear adapter. 11. A tray system, the tray system comprising: a tray, the tray comprising: a tray body extending along the longitudinal axis between a front and a rear and extending along a lateral axis between a first side and a second side; and a plurality of alignment rails protruding from the tray body, the plurality of alignment rails spaced apart from each other along the lateral axis; and a plurality of fiber optic modules, each of the plurality of fiber optic modules having a different width from another of the plurality of fiber optic modules, each of the plurality of fiber optic modules comprising: an outer housing extending along the longitudinal axis between a front and a rear, extending along a lateral axis between a first side and a second side, and extending along the transverse axis between a top and a bottom; and at least one alignment channel defined in the outer housing, wherein the plurality of fiber optic modules are alignable in the tray in a plurality of relative configurations, and wherein in each of the plurality of relative configurations each of the plurality of alignment channels of each of the plurality of fiber optic modules is provided on one of the plurality of alignment rails of the trays. 12. The tray system of claim 11 , wherein the at least one alignment channel is defined in the bottom of the outer housing of the fiber optic module. 13. The tray system of claim 11 , wherein the tray further comprises at least one cutout defined in the tray body. 14. The tray system of claim 11 , wherein the tray body is formed from sheet metal. 15. The tray system of claim 11 , wherein the tray further comprises a plurality of fiber management features, each of the plurality of fiber management features located at the front of the tray. 16. The tray system of claim 11 , wherein the tray further comprises a plurality of alignment clips. 17. The tray system of claim 16 , wherein each of the plurality of alignment clips is aligned with one of the plurality of alignment rails. 18. The tray system of claim 11 , wherein each of the plurality of modules includes at least one front adapter and at least one rear adapter.
