Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

In an arrangement which includes: a seat support body slidably supported on a fixed rail fixed to a floor; a power supply device supplying power to an electrical component on a seat side; and a drive device driving the seat support body in a front-and-rear direction and having a motor and a transmission member disposed so as to pass longitudinally through an interior of the fixed rail, the power supply device includes: a housing housing an electric wire for power supply; and a slider linked to the seat support body and slidable within the fixed rail. The electric wire is drawn out from the housing, retained by the slider and slidable within the fixed rail. The slider has an interference-avoiding portion for avoiding interference with the transmission member disposed so as to pass longitudinally through the interior of the fixed rail. Accordingly, the transmission member of the drive device and the slider for retaining the electric wire, which slides within the fixed rail, can be arranged in proximity to each other within the fixed rail while avoiding interference therebetween, thus enabling simplification and a reduction in the size of a rail structure.

The invention claimed is: 1. An adjusting device of front and rear positions of a seat, the device comprising: a fixed rail; a movable rail that is movable to the fixed rail; a motor that drives the movable rail; a threaded shaft that is driven by the motor and moves the movable rail; and a power supply device that supplies power to an electrical component attached to the seat, wherein the power supply device includes a slider that retains the electric wire for power supply, wherein the slider is linked to the movable rail and is relatively movable to the fixed rail with the movable rail, and wherein the width of the threaded shaft is smaller than the width of the slider in the width direction of the fixed rail. 2. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 1 , wherein the slider comprises a pair of electric wire-retaining parts that are arranged across a gap in a left-and-right direction within the fixed rail and a linking part that provides a link between the electric wire-retaining parts, and wherein the linking part has a top wall portion covers an upper side of the threaded shaft. 3. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 2 , wherein the fixed rail includes a bottom wall part, vertical wall parts standing above from the outer ends of the bottom wall part in the width direction of the fixed rail, flange portions that are connectedly provided integrally with the upper ends of the vertical wall part and hanging wall parts hanging below from the inside ends of the flange portions in the width direction of the fixed rail and opposed to the vertical wall part, wherein each of the electric wire-retaining parts is disposed between the vertical wall part and the hanging wall part, wherein the linking part has side wall portions extending downward from the left and right ends of the top wall portions and lower linking portions linking the lower ends of the side wall portions to the electric wire-retaining parts, and wherein the lower linking portions are linked to the electric wire-retaining parts below the of the axis line of the threaded shaft. 4. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 3 , wherein the slider is detachably jointed to the movable rail via linking means provided with the side wall portions, and wherein the threaded shaft is located at the center in the width direction of the fixed rail and inside than the linking means in the width direction of the fixed rail. 5. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 1 , wherein the threaded shaft and the electric wire are provided at the same level. 6. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 1 , wherein a support plate is provided with the movable rail, the threaded shaft is supported by the support plate, and the length of the support plate is longer than the length of the slider in the front-and-rear direction of the movable rail. 7. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 1 , the device further comprising a pair of the fixed rails and a pair of the movable rails, wherein the power supply device includes a housing for housing the electric wire, wherein the housing is disposed between the pair of the fixed rails, wherein each of the fixed rails are provided with a first support frame and a second support frame to fixedly place the pair of the fixed rails on the floor, and wherein the first frame and the second frame are extended in the left-and-right direction and arranged at an interval in the front-and-rear direction, the first frame is disposed being not to be superimposed on the housing in the up-and-down direction, and the second frames is disposed being superimposed on the housing in the up-and-down direction. 8. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 1 , wherein the threaded shaft is supported on the movable rail via a bearing member. 9. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 1 , wherein the movable rail and the threaded shaft are provided within the fixed rail, and wherein the slider is located at the end of the fixed rail in the front-and-rear direction. 10. The adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 3 , wherein the lower linking portions are linked to the electric wire-retaining parts below the vertical wall parts, wherein the slider has a recess extending in the front-and-rear direction in which the threaded shaft is disposed, wherein the recess is defined by the top wall portions and the side wall portions, and wherein the electric wire is provided out of the recess. 11. A method for assembling an adjusting device of front and rear positions of a seat, comprising: providing a fixed rail on a floor; providing the fixed rail with a movable rail movably; providing a motor that drives the movable rail; providing a threaded shaft that is driven by the motor and moves the movable rail; and providing a power supply device that supplies power to an electrical component attached to the seat, wherein the power supply device includes a slider that retains the electric wire for power supply, wherein the slider is linked to the movable rail and is relatively movable to the fixed rail with the movable rail, and wherein the width of the threaded shaft is smaller than the width of the slider in the width direction of the fixed rail. 12. The method for assembling an adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 11 , wherein the slider comprises a pair of electric wire-retaining parts that are arranged across a gap in a left-and-right direction within the fixed rail and a linking part that provides a link between the electric wire-retaining parts, and wherein the linking part has a top wall portion covers an upper side of the threaded shaft. 13. The method for assembling an adjusting device of front and rear positions of the seat according to claim 12 , wherein the fixed rail includes a bottom wall part, vertical wall parts standing above from the outer ends of the bottom wall part in the width direction of the fixed rail, flange portions that are connectedly provided integrally with the upper ends of the vertical wall part and hanging wall parts hanging below from the inside ends of the flange portions in the width direction of the fixed rail and opposed to the vertical wall part, wherein each of the electric wire-retaining parts is disposed between the vertical wall part and the hanging wall part, wherein the linking part has side wall portions extending downward from the left and right ends of the top wall portions and lower linking portions linking the lower ends of the side wall portions to the electric wire-retaining parts, and wherein the lower linking portions are linked to the electric wire-retaining parts below the of the axis line of the threaded shaft. 14.
