A system is provided that includes a first network interface for a first network type and a second network interface for a second network type that is different from the first network type. The system also includes at least one processor configured to cause the system to perform operations. The operations may include obtaining, from the first network interface, audio from a communication session with a remote device established over the first network and obtaining an indication of a communication device available to participate in the communication session and direct audio obtained from the communication session to a remote transcription system. The operations may also include directing the audio to the second network interface for transmission to the communication device, obtaining transcript data from the remote transcription system based on the audio, and directing the transcript data to the second network interface for transmission to the communication device.

What is claimed is: 1. A method comprising: obtaining, at a device, audio captured by a local device, the device and the local device being located within the same structure; directing, from the device while the audio is captured by the local device, the audio to a transcription system, the transcription system obtaining the audio only from the device; obtaining, at the device while the audio is captured by the local device, transcript data from the transcription system, the transcript data including a transcription of the audio generated by the transcription system; and presenting, by the device while the audio is captured by the local device, the transcription. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the local device only directs the audio to the device. 3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the device does not audible broadcast the audio. 4. The method of claim 1 , wherein the local device only directs the audio to the device and the device does not audible broadcast the audio. 5. The method of claim 1 , wherein the device obtains the audio from the local device via a local network that locally couples the device and the local device. 6. The method of claim 5 , wherein the audio is directed to the transcription system via a secondary local network that is a different network type than the local network. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising audible broadcasting, by the device while the audio is captured by the local device, the audio. 8. A device comprising: a first network port configured to obtain audio captured by a local device, the device and the local device being located within the same structure; a second network port configured to direct, while the audio is captured by the local device, the audio to a transcription system and to obtain transcript data from the transcription system, the transcript data including a transcription of the audio generated by the transcription system and the transcription system obtaining the audio only from the device; and a display configured to present the transcription while the audio is captured by the local device. 9. The device of claim 8 , wherein the local device only directs the audio to the device. 10. The device of claim 8 , wherein the device does not audible broadcast the audio. 11. The device of claim 8 , wherein the local device only directs the audio to the device and the device does not audible broadcast the audio. 12. The device of claim 8 , wherein the device obtains the audio from the local device via a local network that locally couples the device and the local device. 13. The device of claim 12 , wherein the audio is directed to the transcription system via a secondary local network that is a different network type than the local network. 14. The device of claim 8 , further comprising a speaker configured to audible broadcast the audio. 15. One or more non-transitory computer-readable media configured to store instructions, which when executed cause a device to perform operations, the operations comprising: obtaining, at the device, audio captured by a local device, the device and the local device being located within the same structure; directing, from the device while the audio is captured by the local device, the audio to a transcription system, the transcription system obtaining the audio only from the device; obtaining, at the device while the audio is captured by the local device, transcript data from the transcription system, the transcript data including a transcription of the audio generated by the transcription system; and presenting, by the device while the audio is captured by the local device, the transcription. 16. The computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the local device only directs the audio to the device. 17. The computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the device does not audible broadcast the audio. 18. The computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the local device only directs the audio to the device and the device does not audible broadcast the audio. 19. The computer-readable media of claim 15 , wherein the device obtains the audio from the local device via a local network that locally couples the device and the local device. 20. The computer-readable media of claim 19 , wherein the audio is directed to the transcription system via a secondary local network that is a different network type than the local network.
