Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Provided herein is an engagement and care support platform (“ECSP”) computer system including at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device for facilitating senior user engagement. The processor is programmed to: (i) register a user through an application, (ii) register a caregiver associated with the user through the application, (iii) generate a senior profile based upon user personal and scheduling data, (iv) build a daily interactive user interface that reflects the senior profile, (v) display the daily interactive user interface at a first client device associated with the user, (vi) cause the first client device to initiate a daily interaction prompt to the user, (vii) determine whether any user interaction was received in response to the daily interaction prompt, and (viii) transmit a daily update message to a second client device associated with the caregiver, including an indication of whether any user interaction was received.

We claim: 1. An engagement and care support platform (“ECSP”) computer device comprising at least one processor in communication with a chatbot and at least one memory device, the at least one processor of the ECSP computer device is programmed to: store user information for a senior user associated with a first client device, the first client device configured to receive a user interaction and communicate with the chatbot; store caregiver information for a plurality of caregivers, wherein each caregiver of the plurality of caregivers is associated with a second client device of a plurality of second client devices, wherein the plurality of caregivers are members of a circle of care of the senior user; continuously monitor for a senior user interaction indicating that the senior user has interacted with the chatbot; receive registration information for a first caregiver from a second client device associated with the first caregiver to add the first caregiver to the plurality of caregivers; present, via a user interface of the first client device, at least a portion of the registration information for the first caregiver; receive, audibly via the chatbot of the first client device, a response from the senior user; and approve or deny the first caregiver based on the response from the senior user. 2. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to: in response to detecting the senior user interaction with the chatbot, generate a notification message summarizing the senior user interaction with the chatbot, wherein the notification message summarizing the senior user interaction with the chatbot includes when and how the senior user interacted with the chatbot in response to detecting the senior user interaction with the chatbot, transmit, to the plurality of second client devices, the notification message for display on a user interface of the corresponding second client devices. 3. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , upon approval of the first caregiver by the senior user, add the first caregiver to the plurality of caregivers and associate the second client device with the first caregiver. 4. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the senior user also applies a label to the first caregiver, and the at least one processor is further programmed to store the label with the registration information for the first caregiver, wherein the label is configured to be displayed in relation to the first caregiver. 5. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to: store a plurality of notification preferences for each of the plurality of caregivers; and determine whether or not to notify each of the plurality of caregivers of the senior user interaction with the chatbot based on the corresponding notification preferences. 6. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to cause a virtual button to be displayed on a user interface of a second client device of the plurality of second client devices, wherein when selected the virtual button initiates a video call from the second client device to the first client device. 7. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to cause a virtual button to be displayed on a user interface of a second client device of the plurality of second client devices, wherein when selected the virtual button initiates a telephone call to the senior user. 8. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to cause a virtual button to be displayed on a user interface of a second client device of the plurality of second client devices, wherein when selected the virtual button initiates a text message from the second client device to the first client device. 9. The ECSP computer device of claim 8 , wherein the at least one processor instructs the chatbot to cause the first client device to audibly recite the text message to the senior user. 10. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to generate a notification message if the detected senior user interaction with the chatbot is a first senior user interaction with the chatbot of the day. 11. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to: determine for the senior user a first expected time of interaction with the chatbot via the first client device; and in response to not detecting the senior user interaction with the chatbot by the first expected time of interaction, transmit a message to the plurality of second client devices indicating that the senior user has not interacted with the chatbot by the first expected time of interaction. 12. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of caregivers includes one or more of a family member of the senior user, a friend of the senior user, a paid caregiver of the senior user, a person designated by the senior user, and a healthcare professional. 13. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to: determine a frequency of interactions of senior user with the first client device; and transmit, to the plurality of second client devices, one or more notification messages including the frequency of the senior user interactions with the first client device, wherein the frequency of senior user interactions is caused to be displayed on a user interface of the corresponding second client device. 14. The ECSP computer device of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further programmed to execute the chatbot to audibly interact with the senior user using plain language, wherein the chatbot receives an input signal captured by a first microphone of the first client device, interprets the input signal, generates an audio plain language response to the interpreted input signal, and responds with the audio plain language response via a first speaker of the first client device. 15. A computer-implemented method for facilitating senior user engagement, the method performed by an engagement and care support platform (“ECSP”) computer system including at least one processor in communication with a chatbot and at least one memory device, the ECSP computer system in communication with a first client device associated with a senior user and a plurality of second client devices associated with a plurality of caregivers, the method comprising: storing user information for a senior user associated with the first client device, the first client device configured to receive a user interaction and communicate with the chatbot; storing caregiver information for a plurality of caregivers, wherein each caregiver of the plurality of caregivers is associated with a second client device of the plurality of second client devices, wherein the plurality of caregivers are members of a circle of care of the senior user; continuously monitoring for a senior user interaction indicating that the senior user has interacted with the chatbot; receiving registration information for a first caregiver from a second client device associated with the first caregiver to add the first caregiver to the plurality of caregivers; presenting, via a user interface of the first client device, at least a portion of the registration information for the first caregiver; receiving, audibly via the chatbot of the first client device, a response from the senior user; and approving or denying the first caregiver based on the respo
