Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A light emitting sealed body includes: a housing containing light-emitting gas in an internal space and formed with an opening on which first light is incident and/or from which second light is emitted, wherein the first light is laser light for maintaining a plasma generated in the light-emitting gas and the second light is light from the plasma; and a window member that transmits the first light and/or the second light at the opening. The window member is joined to the housing by a joining material consisting of a material containing gold.

First claim

What is claimed is: 1. A light emitting sealed body comprising: a housing containing light-emitting gas in an internal space and formed with an opening on which first light is incident and/or from which second light is emitted, wherein the first light is laser light for maintaining a plasma generated in the light-emitting gas and the second light is light from the plasma; and a window member that transmits the first light and/or the second light at the opening, wherein the window member is joined to the housing by a joining material including a material containing gold. 2. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein the window member is formed in a flat plate shape and includes a major surface and a side surface, the housing includes a wall portion facing the side surface, and the joining material joins the side surface and the wall portion to each other. 3. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 2 , wherein the housing includes a flange portion protruding from the wall portion, and the window member is disposed such that the major surface faces the flange portion. 4. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 3 , wherein the joining material is inserted between the major surface of the window member and the flange portion. 5. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 4 , wherein the joining material is inserted between the major surface of the window member and the flange portion in a state where the joining material is not bonded to the major surface of the window member. 6. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 4 , wherein the joining material covers at least a part of a surface of the flange portion on a side opposite to the window member. 7. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 2 , wherein the joining material is provided to reach an end surface of the wall portion in a direction perpendicular to the major surface of the window member. 8. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein a metallized layer is formed on the window member, a plating layer is formed on the metallized layer, and the joining material is joined to the plating layer, so that the window member is joined to the housing. 9. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 8 , wherein the plating layer covers the metallized layer such that the metallized layer is not exposed. 10. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 8 , wherein the joining material covers the metallized layer and the plating layer on a side of the internal space such that the metallized layer and the plating layer are not exposed. 11. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 8 , wherein the joining material covers the metallized layer and the plating layer on a side opposite an internal space such that the metallized layer and the plating layer are not exposed. 12. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 8 , wherein the metallized layer consists of molybdenum-manganese. 13. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein the window member consists of sapphire. 14. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein the joining material consists of gold-copper brazing or gold-nickel brazing. 15. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein the housing includes a housing body formed with the opening, and a frame member fixed to the housing body at the opening, and the window member is joined to the frame member by the joining material. 16. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein the housing is made of a metal material. 17. The light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 , wherein a charging pressure of the light-emitting gas in the housing is 3 MPa or more. 18. A light source device comprising: the light emitting sealed body according to claim 1 ; and a light introduction unit that causes the first light to be incident on the housing.
