Official abstract text for this publication.
Techniques for database configurations for remote deployments include a method performed by a data platform executing instructions on at least one processor. The method includes provisioning by at least one hardware processor, a remote deployment of a data platform with a plurality of objects. The plurality of objects includes at least one task object associated with a primary deployment of the data platform. The method further includes detecting using the at least one task object of the plurality of objects, a request to replicate a database stored at the primary deployment of the data platform at the remote deployment. Responsive to the request, database data is pushed from the database stored at the primary deployment to at least a second object of the plurality of objects provisioned at the remote deployment.

What is claimed is: 1. A method performed by a data platform executing instructions on at least one processor, the method comprising: provisioning by at least one hardware processor, a remote deployment of a data platform with a plurality of objects, the plurality of objects including at least one task object associated with a primary deployment of the data platform; detecting at an account of a data provider at the remote deployment and using the at least one task object of the plurality of objects, a request to replicate a database stored at the primary deployment of the data platform at the remote deployment; responsive to the request, causing database data to be pushed from the database stored at an account of the data provider at the primary deployment to at least a second object of the plurality of objects provisioned at the remote deployment; and configuring access to the data at the remote deployment using at least a third object of the plurality of objects based on a modification of the second object at the remote deployment, the modification causing synchronization of the database data between the account of the data provider at the primary deployment and the account of the data provider at the remote deployment. 2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the second object of the plurality of objects is a database shell of the database, and the modification of the second object comprises: causing a modification of the database shell into a remote deployment database at the remote deployment based on pushing the database data stored at the primary deployment. 3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: configuring the at least one task object as a monitoring task at the remote deployment. 4. The method of claim 3 , further comprising: monitoring the primary deployment for database replication requests to replicate the database, the monitoring using the monitoring task; and detecting the request at the primary deployment based on the monitoring. 5. The method of claim 3 , further comprising: monitoring the remote deployment for database replication requests to replicate the database, the monitoring using the monitoring task; and detecting the request at the remote deployment based on the monitoring. 6. The method of claim 1 , wherein the remote deployment comprises a first computing node, the primary deployment comprises a second computing node, and the method further comprising: receiving the request at the first computing node from the second computing node. 7. The method of claim 1 , further comprising: invoking at least one refresh command with respect to the plurality of objects, the invoking of the at least one refresh command making the database data available at the remote deployment, wherein the at least one refresh command comprises a database refresh operation that initiates pushing of the database data from the database stored at the primary deployment to the second object. 8. The method of claim 7 , wherein the pushing of the database data from the database stored at the primary deployment to the second object converts the second object into a remote deployment database at the remote deployment. 9. The method of claim 7 , wherein the at least a third object of the plurality of objects comprises a share shell, and the method further comprising: configuring the share shell as an access control with respect to the database data at the remote deployment. 10. The method of claim 9 , further comprising: modifying the share shell to provide access to the database data at the remote deployment, based on the invoking of the at least one refresh command. 11. A data platform comprising: at least one hardware processor; and one or more computer-storage media containing instructions that, when executed by the at least one hardware processor, cause the data platform to perform operations comprising: provisioning a remote deployment of a data platform with a plurality of objects, the plurality of objects including at least one task object associated with a primary deployment of the data platform; detecting at an account of a data provider at the remote deployment and using the at least one task object of the plurality of objects, a request to replicate a database stored at the primary deployment of the data platform at the remote deployment; responsive to the request, causing database data to be pushed from the database stored at an account of the data provider at the primary deployment to at least a second object of the plurality of objects provisioned at the remote deployment; and configuring access to the data at the remote deployment using at least a third object of the plurality of objects based on a modification of the second object at the remote deployment, the modification causing synchronization of the database data between the account of the data provider at the primary deployment and the account of the data provider at the remote deployment. 12. The data platform of claim 11 , wherein the second object of the plurality of objects is a database shell of the database, and the modification of the second object comprises: causing a modification of the database shell into a remote deployment database at the remote deployment based on pushing the database data stored at the primary deployment. 13. The data platform of claim 11 , the operations further comprising: configuring the at least one task object as a monitoring task at the remote deployment. 14. The data platform of claim 13 , the operations further comprising: monitoring the primary deployment for database replication requests to replicate the database, the monitoring using the monitoring task; and detecting the request at the primary deployment based on the monitoring. 15. The data platform of claim 13 , the operations further comprising: monitoring the remote deployment for database replication requests to replicate the database, the monitoring using the monitoring task; and detecting the request at the remote deployment based on the monitoring. 16. The data platform of claim 11 , wherein the remote deployment comprises a first computing node, the primary deployment comprises a second computing node, and the operations further comprising: receiving the request at the first computing node from the second computing node. 17. The data platform of claim 11 , the operations further comprising: invoking at least one refresh command with respect to the plurality of objects, the invoking of the at least one refresh command making the database data available at the remote deployment, wherein the at least one refresh command comprises a database refresh operation that initiates pushing of the database data from the database stored at the primary deployment to the second object. 18. The data platform of claim 17 , wherein the pushing of the database data from the database stored at the primary deployment to the second object converts the second object into a remote deployment database at the remote deployment. 19. The data platform of claim 17 , wherein the at least a third object of the plurality of objects comprises a share shell, and the operations further comprising: configuring the share shell as an access control with respect to the database data at the remote deployment. 20. The data platform of claim 19 , the operations further comprising: modifying the share shell to provide access to the database data at the remote deployment, based on the invoking of the at least one refresh command.
