Tenon-mounted lighting fixtures with high structural integrity are provided. In one embodiment, the lighting fixture has a housing that has an integrally formed tenon cradle, which is configured to receive a tenon of a light pole. A light source is also mounted on a bottom side of the housing. The tenon cradle is between a first bolt boss and a second bolt boss, and is in communication with a rear opening of the housing. The first and second bolt bosses may be integrally formed in the housing. The tenon cradle includes multiple ribs. An arcuate cross rib resides in a first plane in which a first bolt shaft of the first bolt boss and a second bolt shaft of the second bolt boss reside. An axial rib intersects the arcuate cross rib and runs perpendicular to the first plane.

What is claimed is: 1. A lighting fixture comprising: a light source; a housing comprising a first bolt boss having a first bolt shaft extending therethrough and a second bolt boss having a second bolt shaft extending therethrough, wherein the housing is configured to receive an end of a tenon between the first bolt boss and the second bolt boss; a first reinforcing tube arranged within the first bolt boss, wherein the first bolt shaft extends through an interior of the first reinforcing tube; and a second reinforcing tube arranged within the second bolt boss, wherein the second bolt shaft extends through an interior of the second reinforcing tube. 2. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , wherein portions of the first bolt boss are arranged between the first reinforcing tube and the first bolt shaft, and portions of the second bolt boss are arranged between the second reinforcing tube and the second bolt shaft. 3. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , wherein the first reinforcing tube and the second reinforcing tube comprise at least one of aluminum, steel, and carbon reinforced polymers. 4. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , wherein annular walls of the first reinforcing tube and the second reinforcing tube are solid. 5. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , wherein annular walls of the first reinforcing tube and the second reinforcing tube are perforated. 6. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , wherein the housing forms a first housing recess that provides a first landing area on the first bolt boss at the first bolt shaft, and a second housing recess that provides a second landing area on the second bolt boss at the second bolt shaft. 7. The lighting fixture of claim 6 , wherein a diameter of the first bolt shaft increases in a direction toward the first landing area and a diameter of the second bolt shaft increases in a direction toward the second landing area. 8. The lighting fixture of claim 6 , wherein the first bolt boss extends between the first landing area and a first opposing surface of the housing in a range from 20 millimeters (mm) to 30 mm, and the second bolt boss extends between the second landing area and a second opposing surface of the housing in a range from 20 mm to 30 mm. 9. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , further comprising a tenon cradle integrally formed in the housing between the first bolt boss and the second bolt boss and configured to receive the end of the tenon. 10. The lighting fixture of claim 9 , wherein the tenon cradle forms a stepped structure comprising a plurality of tenon platforms configured to receive the end of the tenon at a selected one of a plurality of different levels. 11. The lighting fixture of claim 9 , wherein the tenon cradle comprises: an arcuate cross rib that resides in a first plane in which the first bolt shaft and the second bolt shaft reside; and an axial rib that intersects the arcuate cross rib and runs perpendicular to the first plane. 12. The lighting fixture of claim 1 , further comprising a cradle assembly attached to the housing, the cradle assembly comprising a cradle body with a stepped structure forming a plurality of platforms configured to receive the end of the tenon at a selected one of a plurality of different levels.
