A vehicle system for a vehicle includes a controller. The controller is configured to transmit a first control signal to a transmission of the vehicle to engage a first gear of the transmission, acquire information regarding a pressure of an inlet flow of water received by a pumping system of the vehicle, and transmit a second control signal to the transmission to engage a second gear of the transmission based on the information.

The invention claimed is: 1. A vehicle system for a vehicle, the vehicle system comprising: a controller configured to: transmit a first control signal to a transmission of the vehicle to engage a first gear of the transmission; acquire information regarding a pressure of an inlet flow of water received by a pumping system of the vehicle; and transmit a second control signal to the transmission to engage a second gear of the transmission based on the information. 2. The vehicle system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured transmit the second control signal to the transmission at least in response to the information indicating that the inlet flow of water has a positive intake pressure. 3. The vehicle system, of claim 2 , wherein the controller is configured maintain the transmission in the first gear in response to the information indicating that the inlet flow of water does not have the positive intake pressure. 4. The vehicle system of claim 1 , wherein the information is first information, and wherein the controller is configured to: receive second information regarding an engine speed of an engine coupled to the transmission; and transmit the second control signal to the transmission based on the first information and the second information. 5. The vehicle system of claim 4 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit the second control signal to the transmission in response to (i) the first information indicating that the inlet flow of water has a positive intake pressure and (ii) the engine speed being less than a speed threshold. 6. The vehicle system of claim 1 , wherein the first gear is a higher gear than the second gear. 7. The vehicle system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to receive the information regarding the pressure of the inlet flow of water from at least one of a sensor or a user interface. 8. The vehicle system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to: determine a location of the vehicle; and determine the information regarding the pressure of the inlet flow of water based on the location. 9. The vehicle system of claim 8 , wherein the controller is configured to store a plurality of locations, each of the plurality of locations having a water source configured to provide the inlet flow of water at a predefined pressure. 10. The vehicle system, of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to transmit the first control signal in response to activation of a pumping mode, wherein the first gear is a default pumping gear for the transmission. 11. The vehicle system of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to activate the pumping mode in response to at least one of (i) the vehicle being within a threshold distance of a destination, (ii) the vehicle being stationary, or (iii) a parking brake of the vehicle being engaged. 12. The vehicle system of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to activate the pumping mode in response to (i) the vehicle being within a threshold distance of a destination and (ii) at least one of (a) the vehicle being stationary or (b) a parking brake of the vehicle being engaged. 13. The vehicle system of claim 10 , wherein the controller is configured to activate the pumping mode in response to receiving an activation command from a user interface. 14. The vehicle system of claim 1 , wherein the controller is configured to: operate the pumping system in a first pumping mode such that the pumping system provides an outlet flow of water to an ambient environment at a first outlet pressure; and operate the pumping system in a second pumping mode such that the pumping system provides the outlet flow of water to a second vehicle fluidly connected to the pumping system at a second outlet pressure that is different than the first outlet pressure. 15. A vehicle system for a vehicle, the vehicle system comprising: a controller configured to: determine a location of the vehicle; and automatically activate a pumping system of the vehicle at least in response to the vehicle being within a threshold distance of a destination. 16. The vehicle system of claim 15 , wherein the controller is configured to automatically activate the pumping mode in response to (i) the vehicle being within the threshold distance of the destination and (ii) at least one of (a) the vehicle being stationary or (b) a parking brake of the vehicle being engaged. 17. The vehicle system of claim 15 , wherein the controller is configured to: operate the pumping system in a first pumping mode such that the pumping system provides an outlet flow of water to an ambient environment at a first outlet pressure; and operate the pumping system in a second pumping mode such that the pumping system provides the outlet flow of water to a second vehicle fluidly connected to the pumping system at a second outlet pressure that is different than the first outlet pressure. 18. A vehicle system for a vehicle, the vehicle system comprising: a controller configured to: operate a pumping system of the vehicle in a first pumping mode such that the pumping system provides an outlet flow of water to an ambient environment at a first outlet pressure; and operate the pumping system in a second mode such that the pumping system provides the outlet flow of water to a second vehicle fluidly connected to the pumping system at a second outlet pressure that is different than the first outlet pressure. 19. The vehicle system of claim 18 , wherein the controller is configured to: determine a location of the vehicle; and automatically activate the pumping system at least in response to the vehicle being within a threshold distance of a destination. 20. The vehicle system of claim 18 , wherein the controller is configured to: transmit a first control signal to a transmission of the vehicle to engage a first gear of the transmission; acquire information regarding at least one of (i) a pressure of an inlet flow of water received by the pumping system or (ii) an engine speed of an engine coupled to the transmission; and transmit a second control signal to the transmission to engage a second gear of the transmission based on the information.
